AVENGERS: ENDGAME Star Mark Ruffalo Shares A Hilarious Shot Of Chris Hemsworth Sleeping On The Job

The behind the scenes photos from Avengers: Endgame keep coming and Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk) has now shared a fantastic shot of the chunkier Chris Hemsworth literally sleeping on the job...

In recent weeks, we've been treated to a number of awesome behind the scenes photos and videos from the set of Avengers: Endgame but the latest shot shared by Mark Ruffalo might be the funniest yet. As you can see below, he managed to catch Chris Hemsworth catching up on his sleep.

This is particularly funny considering the sort of transformation Hemsworth goes through in the movie and it's once again amazing to see how the God of Thunder's new look was achieved with practical effects rather than being enhanced with CGI.

We don't know what comes next for Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but it appears as if he's joining the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and that means James Gunn will be in charge of the character for a while. That's no bad thing, of course, and he'll hopefully lay the groundwork for a Thor 4 directed by Thor: Ragnarok helmer Taika Waititi.

Check out this latest behind the scenes image from Avengers: Endgame below:

amazing photos from the set of Avengers: Endgame!

Old Man Captain America

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans dons some impressive looking prosthetics in order to look like an old man. That likely required him to spend hours in a makeup chair, and the actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the transformation he went through...at the halfway stage!

A Deleted Scarlet Witch Scene

It appears as if a number of small changes were made to the movie's final battle thanks to reshoots, and Elizabeth Olsen shared a video revealing what seems to be an alternate entrance for Scarlet Witch as she lands in the battlefield and takes out a number of soldiers.

In Avengers: Endgame, she first showed up in a confrontation with Thanos that was arguably far more impactful.

Happy Birthday, Josh Brolin

Josh Brolin was lucky enough to celebrate his birthday on the set of Avengers: Endgame and the actor shared this video of the movie's cast wishing (well, singing) him many happy returns. As you can see, it was a rather star-studded celebrations as it was shot during the massive final battle.

Jeremy Renner Becomes Ronin

Jeremy Renner's Avengers: Endgame haircut has had everyone talking for months and in this very cool time-lapse video, the actor shows his hair being chopped off in order to create the archer's new look (so, make sure to show this to your barber if you fancy getting the same thing).

Captain America And Black Panther

In this fantastic behind-the-scenes shot shared by Chris Evans, Captain America stands tall alongside Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, a character who will more than likely take his place as the leader of the New Avengers as we move into the Phase 4 films.

Marvel's Trinity Battles Thanos

This jaw-dropping BTS video shows Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man squaring off with Josh Brolin's Thanos, and it's going to be great seeing more from this fight once the Blu-ray lands.

Zoe Saldana Becomes Gamora

So, you probably thought that making Gamora look green was a massively complicated process, right? Well, it is (poor Zoe Saldana spends hours in the make-up chair) but who would have thought that she applied her own lipstick to finish off her transformation?

Archery Practice

In this awesome shot shared by the Russo Brothers, Joe gets his hands on Stormbreaker (who cool would it be to be able to buy a replica of that bad boy?) and chats with Chris Hemsworth during what was presumably one of the first days the actor was on set.

What A Cast

Another video from the final battle, this one sees Chris Evans point out a number of moments on set that he enjoyed, many of which would make for hilarious GIFs if we had clearer shots of them!

Thor Dances

Well, this is awesome. In a video shared by Chris Hemsworth, the music takes hold of the God of Thunder and he starts dancing away as the rest of the movie's amazing cast enjoy some lunch.

"Carol Danvers"

Avengers: Endgame was a particularly special experience for Brie Larson as it marked the first time she played Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a simple behind the scenes shot but marks a touching thank you from the Oscar-winning actress.

Friends Reunited

One of Avengers: Endgame's most touching moments comes when Iron Man is reunited with Spider-Man on the battlefield. After years of putting off that hug, Tony Stark embraces Peter Parker, and the conversation they have in the video above is a little different to the one we saw on screen.

Well, This Is Meme Worthy, Right?

Mark Ruffalo shared this hilarious shot from the set of the movie and, as you can see, it appears as if they're having great fun while sitting in the makeup chair getting ready to shoot their scenes.

Robert Downey Jr. Says Goodbye To The MCU

In this emotional video, Robert Downey Jr. shares a look at his final day on set and pokes fun at Chris Evans saying goodbye to the role of Captain America on social media (which created quite the uproar online as fans assumed that meant he would be killed off).

Archery Practice

Joe Russo's daughter Ava actually played Clint Barton's daughter in Avengers: Endgame and in this video shared by the filmmakers, we get to see just how good she got at archery while filming scenes which were originally going to be used in Avengers: Infinity War.

Snap

One of Avengers: Endgame's editors recently revealed that Robert Downey Jr.'s "I am Iron Man" moment came as a result of reshoots and the photos shared by the actor here are seemingly from the original sequence when he said nothing to Thanos.

Stan Lee's Final Cameo

Avengers: Endgame sadly marks Stan Lee's final cameo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Russo Brothers shared this touching behind the scenes photo earlier this month in which they're pictured alongside the legendary comic book creator while he's decked out in his 1970s costume.

Avengers: Love Island

A post shared by Karen Gillan (@karengillanofficial) on

You probably won't find this funny unless you live in the UK and know what Love Island is, but in a behind-the-scenes video, Scottish actress Karen Gillan pulled off an excellent English accent to poke fun at the reality TV series while tying it into Avengers: Endgame!

The "Illegal" Video That Started It All

It was Chris Pratt who first shared an "illegal" video from the set of Avengers: Endgame, and we quickly learned that while the cast was told not to film anything, they all had their phones out at key points in production. It's just lucky that none of their devices were hacked over the past year or so.

Women Of The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Robert Downey Jr. hosted a lunch for the women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, as you can see, it's an impressive, amazing group.

After that inspiring A-Force moment in Avengers: Endgame, there are a lot of fans out there who now hope to see the female team assemble one day.

@dracula - Arrow doesn't end until season 8. The end of an era with that finale, sure, but show isn't over.

@Asturgis - The first trailer was nothing great, but if Agents Of Shield (a show who's biggest selling point was a guy who showed up for a few minutes in a few movies) can recover after a okay first season, Batwoman can recover from a mediocre trailer, seriously what show has a great first trailer, and it was only pilot footage, pilots are rarely good. Only real problem I had with the trailer was the "It'll be perfect when it fits a woman" line, just replace "a woman" with "me" and it would get the idea across without shoving it in your face.

@dracula - I hear you, but the issue isn't that the trailer was mediocre, the issue is that it tried to take a stand, to represent certain values, and had the complete opposite effect. Like trying to combat toxicity with toxicity.

That's never happened before to a CB show, ever. Even members of the LGBTQ community and women all over are bashing it for being a cringe clichéd caricature, and being detrimental to what it's trying to stand for. On every social media the negative reactions are pouring like rain. There have been mediocre trailers in the past, sure, but never one that generated actual hate for a show trying to be woke and socially concerned. The show hasn't even started yet and it's already going in the opposite direction it was intended for.

I was obviously joking when I said the show was gonna get cancelled after 3 episodes, there's no way to tell that, but it's off to a very worrying start. Batwoman is one of my favorite characters in the DC Comics universe, and right now I have zero hope for the show because of that cringe writing team.

@Asturgis - I see what your getting at. Its is obviously taking a stand.

I have hope for it, I looked up the showrunner, she has a decent resume, she did some episodes of Smallville, the elseworld episode that introduced Batwoman, and a lot of Vampire Diaries (never watched it, not interested in it, but it did have a large fan base) Even if it starts out a bit heavy handed with its message, im sure it will improve, look at Supergirl, it started the same way, but got better, season 4 was is probably in the top 2 of arrowverse shows this season
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 5/20/2019, 3:18 AM
@Asturgis - I think Batwoman compares more to Supergirl. That show had an unwatchable first season (I quit half way through and never returned to finish that season) and was littered with ridiculous feminism, Devil Wear's Prada vibes, etc. Fast forward several years and Season 4, outside of 3 or 4 episodes, has been nothing short of strong, well done, and ranging from good to great each episode.

If Supergirl can rebound like that (and season 2 was 'good' in my opinion), then I think Batwoman could too. Of course we are only making these judgments based on a single trailer. But this is why I am hoping the show will turn out fine. Might be rocky in the beginning, but hopefully it pays off.

Some showrunners/tv show writers seem to feel that in order to get an important social message across, you need to force it down the audiences's throats and highlight in giant neon letters what exactly you are trying to promote. They fail to realize that you can have a much stronger, more meaningful impact by filling your show with effective, high quality writing that allows the audience to, on their own terms, find the message the showrunner/writers hope to get across.

@Asturgis - I'd have less of a problem with that Batwoman trailer if it portrayed the Kate from the comics. Just because she's a lesbian doesn't mean she has to be such a misandrist. Seems like an awful stereotype to peddle and a quick way to alienate the male audience (which is surely the majority demographic).
Asturgis
Asturgis - 5/20/2019, 11:46 AM
@rabid - Yep, I agree. I love the way they relaunched Kate during New 52, Greg Rucka is one of the best comic writers of his generation (Lazarus, Black Magick, Queen and Country), and I had zero issue with her being retconned as a lesbian, on the contrary, it made the character interesting because it was handled by a pro and adult writer (especially the part where she's in love with Renée Montoya who becomes The Question).

All the Elegy arc with Alice is gonna be wasted on this show instead of being adapted to the big screen by a great director (at least it was my hope).

Very appropriate for Thorbowski.

Good thing it wasn't a Tarantino set, or he'd have gotten stuck with Big Jerry. If you fall asleep on Tarantino's set - granted it's a long day - he takes a picture of you with a giant purple dildo and puts it up for everyone to see.

(Don't know if I'm allowed to post this pic, so apologies ahead of time.)

@Tonic24k - I think if you press "view list" it counts as a view for that article(at least I would assume). Wilding will never pass that up, Nate would have to ban editors from doing it to make him and the others stop, and there is no reason for him to do so. I honestly have to problem with the idea of them doing it, it's their execution of it that is bad. If you can see part of the list before clicking "view list" then it's not being used properly in my opinion. Especially since they'll often attach one of their spoiler filled articles to a non-spoiler article.

These should be the rules:

1. Attached article has to be relevant to current article(Endgame on Endgame, Detective Pikachu on Detective Pikachu, and so on).

2. Attached article cannot be visible at all without pressing "view list".

3. Spoiler articles cannot be attached to non-spoiler articles, even if you implement them correctly.
