More Flashbacks May Have Been Confirmed For AVENGERS 4 And Some Long Dead Characters Could Return

With Avengers 4 currently shooting in Atlanta, a couple of cast members from a past Marvel movie have been spotted nearby and speculation is now running rampant that they could be returning to the MCU...

Last week, some photos from the set of Avengers 4 revealed that we're getting a flashback to the events of The Avengers. The scenes playing out clearly took place shortly after Loki's defeat but before he's sent back to Asgard and both Tony Stark and Thor were spotted alongside the God of Mischief. Now, there's some pretty compelling evidence that some other familiar faces will return to the MCU.

Frank Grillo has recently claimed that he's going to work with Marvel Studios again and a Redditor said over the weekend that they've seen him on set in Atlanta. As you can see below, though, both he and Maximiliano Hernández (who played Agent Jasper Sitwell was killed off in Captain America: The Winter Soldier after being revealed as a Hydra agent) were at a charity event alongside other members of the Avengers 4 cast. The question is, is that's because they're working on the untitled movie?

It's certainly feasible and these two showing up in the same flashback involving the Tesseract as undercover Hydra agents before the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier makes perfect sense and would nicely tie these movies together with the work done by the Russos on that. We'll just have to wait and see but this certainly leaves us with something to think about! What do you think?

I really want Thanos to assemble all the villains from past films to fight...

Really, if they did that, you could save Thanos' confrontation and fight with the Avengers til "Avengers 4" and I wouldn't even mind!

@xfan320 - most of the villains besides Loki are dead. Red Skull is floating around somewhere but He’s not coming back for this.

@JFogg - yes, but it's the INFINITY GAUNTLET. Once complete, Thanos can do whatever he feels like doing!

@xfan320 - Why rehash and drive the budget cost up when you can create new threats - the Black Order - which will be more interesting.
