No STAR WARS EPISODE IX But We May Get AVENGERS: ENDGAME And A Whole Lot More During The Super Bowl

Last year, our first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story came during the Super Bowl but don't expect the same to happen for Star Wars Episode IX this weekend. According to Deadline, the belief within Disney is that a sneak peek at the movie would be an event in itself and doesn't need help from the Big Game.

However, there's plenty to still get excited about as the trade reckons we could get new looks at Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Aladdin, Dumbo, and Toy Story 4

Universal Pictures has confirmed that they will be debuting the first Hobbs & Shaw trailer, while Paramount Pictures is set to have a pre-game spot for its Nickelodeon Movies animated feature Wonder Park. Unfortunately, both Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. has decided to sit this one out and that means no Shazam! and probably no Spider-Man: Far From Home either.

As for Fox, Alita: Battle Angel and Dark Phoenix are said to be strong candidates.

So, next weekend looks set to be extremely exciting and while not everything is confirmed just yet, it definitely seems as if there will be some big reveals, particularly from Disney.

That is fine, Star Wars has always fitted better for April or May because it is Stars Wars' month. Avengers has always had the focus all the way since 2012.

@Evansly - Well Feige has implied they will mostly show only footage from the first hour, but the rest will be kept under wrap

I still think they are waiting for Star Wars Celebration to debut the first teaser/trailer. And I definitely don’t need the Super Bowl to see sneak peaks at movies. I trust them to advertise their own movies so they can do them, I just want to see the movies.

Why does Warner bros always sit this out? I’m no marketing expert but wouldn’t they want to promote their big budget films seeing as they have quite a few this summer?

@MrNegative - Its expensive to have tv spots on the superbowl, cant blame if they feel like it will be better to save that money and use it elsewhere
