Avengers: Secret Wars Rumor Reveals The Movie's Lead Characters On Battleworld - Possible Spoilers

A new Avengers: Secret Wars rumour claims to reveal who will lead the 2027 blockbuster as a group of "resistance" Avengers who remember what the world was like before Doctor Doom created Battleworld.

As of right now, everyone seems pretty convinced that they know how Avengers: Doomsday will end. The Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes will be defeated, Doctor Doom will somehow acquire ultimate power, and the credits will roll with the villain sitting on his throne overlooking Battleworld.

That is, in fact, pretty likely. However, Avengers: Secret Wars is another matter entirely. Like Avengers: Endgame in 2019, the movie is shrouded in secrecy, but with pre-production ramping up, some potential plot spoilers have started doing the rounds on social media.

The latest claim comes from insider @MyTimeToShineH, who claims that Avengers: Doomsday ends with "not a snap, not a portal, [but] an endless nothing." They also hinted that Elizabeth Olsen has done "some more filming" for the movie's post-credits scene.

As for Secret Wars, only a handful of heroes remember what came before Battleworld, and they're the movie's "resistance."

If this leak is to be believed, Avengers: Secret Wars will be led by the three Spider-Men (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland), Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Vision (Paul Bettany), She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), and the Young Avengers.

Presumably, the latter group will comprise Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), Hawkeye (Hailee Steinfeld), Wiccan (Joe Locke), Speed (Ruaridh Mollica), and Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton).

The scooper has added, "Rebels, split up, walking Doom’s domains looking for one thing that can break the spell. One finds Thor ruling a realm he doesn’t remember asking for. One finds Shuri on a throne."

If this really is the main cast of Avengers: Secret Wars, then it seems fans will get the epic Multiversal team-up they hoped for between the more iconic members of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.

The confirmed (or semi-confirmed, at least) cast of Avengers: Secret Wars includes Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), and Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter).

Also appearing are Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), Sadie Sink (Jean Grey), and Noah Jupe.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron has also been enlisted to refine the story, alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.

They better have the Beyonder in it, instead of following that ‘Secret Wars’ imposter series that came out years later, and that people pretend is good. That 1984 series was the ultimate gateway into comics. We need that kind of all our battles, and Doom taking on Galactus and then The Beyonder.

@BoschFawstin - totally agree with you. The 84 series is what I hope inspires this film. I couldn’t get into the remake.

I found BND on the shoulder of the information superhighway and I have to say it was FANTASTIC.

The Jean Grey thing was a bit wonky but she wasn't a killer like I read in some places and I [frick]ing loved Spider-Man and The Punisher on screen.

The comic accurate cover recreations were fantastic and I loved the montage of villains. That should replace the post credit bullshit that is played the [frick] out at this point.

The Hand was...weird AF. That was the only thing that seemed like it didn't fit.

Ned and MJ were actually a plus for once.

It is REALLY [frick]ING HARD to not be even more pissed and Disney for the total [frick]ing garbage since ENDGAME.

MEMBERBERRY GANGBANGS and Spidey is ALL THERE IS, KIDS!!

Interesting if true…

It sounds like we may be in for a quest film where heroes go on a mission to topple an evil that rules the land so that more fantastical approach could be unique and fun imo.

Also I would be glad if Reed is there since he should be imo the one to go up against Victor even if we haven’t seen their history , I feel Pedro & RDJ could sell it via their performances!!.

Curious.. the prevailing wisdom is that the new MCU will have much younger characters for.. well.. everything. Does this mean that all the current "young" heroes are going to be replaced by even younger? If not, the "young" heroes will all be about the same age as the "new" heroes, right?

This is going to get confusing. They really are going to have to scrap everything that's gone before to make it make sense.
