AVENGERS: ENDGAME VFX Stills Show Captain Marvel In Space And Reveal How Cap Vs. Cap Was Made

A new batch of Avengers: Endgame VFX stills have been released, and as well as showing the team in outer space, we get to see how Steve Rogers went toe to toe with 2012's version of America's Ass...

Avengers: Endgame lands on Blu-ray next week, and yet another batch of VFX stills have now been released. These provide some amazing before and after shots from the Marvel Studios movie and take us behind the scenes of a number of key sequences.

For example, we get to see Captain Marvel's new costume, Earth's Mightiest Heroes in outer space, and the scene in which Captain America goes head to head with his 2012 self ~~for the right to be America's Ass~~ for the Mind Stone.

These are all really cool, and offer a fascinating look at how the biggest superhero movie of all-time was made. There are also some awesome wallpaper worthy shots of the movie's characters here.

So, to check out this entire gallery of images, all you have to do is hit the "View List" button!

Captain Marvel leads the charge as Earth's Mightiest Heroes hover over Titan II and attempt to formulate a plan to take down Thanos and bring the trillions who died back to life.

In this before and after shot, we see how the ship the team travelled in was enhanced with visual effects and outer space was added in the background. Sean Gunn is also replaced with Rocket!

This is a particularly interesting shot as we see how those effects surrounding Captain Marvel were created. We also see that some changes were made to the colour of the hero's costume.

With the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy dead and gone, Rocket was given the spotlight and pretty much became an Avenger as a result. Needless to say, he looked awesome in this movie.

Captain Marvel's costume has undergone some changes since her first appearance in the 1990s, but this suit didn't last particularly long as the 2023 version was obviously completely redesigned.

The Guardians' ship hovers over Titan II, and this is a gorgeous piece of imagery. Moments later, Thanos would be decapitated by Thor and that would set the 2014 version on his quest for revenge.

These revealing before and after images show how the battle between the two versions of Captain America was created. It was an impressive sequence and clearly not that easy to put together.

The team blasts into outer space here as the imagery introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 showing how spaceships essentially enter lightspeed made its return in Avengers: Endgame.

Who would have guessed that Stormbreaker was entirely CGI? Then again, considering the fact that it passed right by Brie Larson's head, it's understandable that Marvel didn't want to risk anything!

It doesn’t really make sense that 2012 Cap had his helmet on, given the timeline of events, but it was a cool scene.

@MosquitoFarmer - Why? He thought 2023 Cap was Loki, so he put it on for protection in anticipation of a fight

@Dabs - Because in the time it took for them to confront Loki and retrieve the Sceptre in the "I'll have that drink now" moment, why would Cap go and put on a fresh suit immediately afterwards? He lost the mask previously in battle, and his suit was beat to sh*t by the time the won the battle.

He just lost the cowl during the fight against the Chitauri, before being launched out the window explosively. His suit would have been all sorts of wrecked by that point, and he obviously looked appropriately war-torn by the end of the Avengers battle, and still should have been when fighting Endgame Rogers.

I often forget they use the green screen to even flesh out small background bits like in that picture with Thor and Captain Marvel.

Cap vs Cap is one of the worst fight scenes directed by the Russos. Weird because there has been some pretty good stuff in the MCU films even after TWS, but this one was just unnecessarily choppy and shaky. There's also some pretty obvious CGI when the two Caps are wrestling on the ground.

The TV version wins.
So far, Krypton has produced the best on-screen versions of Lobo, Doomsday, and Brainiac. I like Zod too, but the Micheal Shannon version was better. Not bad for a low budget TV show.

I watched it like 8 times in the cinemas, yes I loved it.
And yes its the No.1 Movie of all time, fantastic win for all us CBM Fans against all the muggle films... hahaha....

Im quite over it with all these news about it...
If i wanna go watch them all, youtube has tons of their footages, interviews and what not. PLENTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I dont think u will be to watch it ALL IN ONE DAMN DAY TOO, that's how much stuff about it is in youtube alone...
