Chris Hemsworth Talks Joss Whedon, Fitness and "The Avengers"!

Chris Hemsworth from the "Scream 2010" red carpet mentions that he hasn't even seen the script for "The Avengers" and about the process he is going through to stay in shape.

MTV got a chance to catch up with Chris Hemsworth who talked a little about The Avengers.




The "Thor" actor stopped by the Scream Awards red carpet on Saturday, where he told MTV News that he hasn't seen the script for “The Avengers”

"I'm extremely excited to see it. I talked with [director] Joss [Whedon] right when he first came on board about his ideas and what he planned on doing about it," Hemsworth said. "But I have yet to see a script."

He may not know the details of the script, but Hemsworth is he has met with Whedon before, who he has worked with in the past.

"[Whedon] produced 'Cabin in the Woods,' which Drew Goddard directed, and he was very collaborative in the whole process and was fantastic," Hemsworth gushed. "I got to know him on a personal level too and have all the confidence in the world in him."

When asked about his what he does to stay in shape he commented,

"It's been a bit like that for the last year or so. I'm starting to up the calories and head back in the gym and start slowly putting it back on," he said, adding that the pumped-up physique "helps you feel a bit like the character."

I wonder if they have scenes of him with the iconic pose were Thor points his hammer in the air and flies.

He does fly, maybe not as much as the comics but he does. He also does the Hammer take off only he just sort of tosses/throws it up from the hip and doesn't spin it like in the comics because its sort of impossible and would be silly looking in real life :P


It was addressed by Hemsworth himself in a MTV comic con interview back at SDCC.
