Disney And Fox Shareholders Approve $71.3 Billion Merger - The X-MEN And FANTASTIC FOUR Are Coming Home!

There was speculation about whether or not it might happen but it's been confirmed that Fox and Disney shareholders have agreed to allow the merger to take place, setting the stage for an even bigger MCU.

Shareholders for The Walt Disney Co. and 21st Century Fox voted this morning on whether or not to approve the former's $71.3 billion acquisition of Fox's film and TV assets and it's good news: the deal has been approved! With things now wrapped up, Disney will take charge of their big and small screen studios, not to mention certain cable and international businesses which the company currently owns.

Fox, meanwhile, will still continue on in a very different form with a portfolio of news, sports, and broadcast companies, including the Fox News Channel, Fox Sports, and a variety of similar channels.

The most exciting news for fans is the fact that this means Marvel properties like the X-Men and Fantastic Four are coming home to Marvel Studios and will arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in the next few years. The studio has also gained the theatrical and home video rights to the original Star Wars movies as well as franchises like Planet of the Apes, Avatar, and many more.

The U.S. Department of Justice has already approved the Disney/Fox merger, provided the media and entertainment company divest the 22 regional sports networks it was set to gain in the deal. How do you guys feel about this news? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that down below.

Hopefully they shelve the abortions known as New Mutants and Dark Phoenix, and we can have a full new MCU with the FF at the top of the food chain as it is meant to be!

Especially if Peyton gets to make his Hard Days Night vision of F4 that he had before those shitty 20thCFlops films were made.
