Don't Expect Many New MCU Announcements Until After AVENGERS 4

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige states that the film studio will be playing its cards very close until after the release of Avengers 4. So what does this mean for SDCC and D23 this year?

Marvel Studios is confirmed to have a panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con and the Disney D23 Expo (both occur in July this year, one week apart) but what exactly will they be announcing?  According to the Marvel Studio president their choices might be limited as the film studio doesn't want to reveal any details about the future of the MCU after Avengers 4.

I hope [the news comes] after that,” said Feige on new films releasing after the fourth Avengers film. “I think there will be certain elements that start to come about, not the least of which is the already announced release date of the next Spider-Man film. But other than that we’re going to keep it very close to the vest because this is really about focusing on the unprecedented conclusion to a 22-movie overarching narrative.

Of course, there's Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel movies slated between now and the release of the untitled fourth Avengers film which is currently filming in Atlanta and slated for release on May 3, 2019.  Could we learn more about Thanos' army, the Black Order?  Will a villain for Ant-Man and the Wasp be announced?  Across these five films, there's actually still a lot of unknowns left for Marvel to reveal.  What do you hope to see unveiled this July?

Do fans want more solo outings or more team up films? I say both!

@LordZero - Team ups. I find it REAL hard to believe any avenger is working alone when there's a literal bunker full of them that could cut the work like 5 ways

@LordZero - I personally want "pair up" films like Thor Ragnarok.
"Solo" films should only now be used to introduced new characters (eg Captain Marvel).
Pairing up sufficiently allows each character to have more screen time than they would in an ensemble + avoids the problem of "if this is too big an enemy for say Iron Man, why aren't the other avengers helping".

I feel the obvious pair up is Scarlet Witch and Dr Strange (maybe throw Vision in to). She really needs a film were she is a primary character (not that she has been neglected at all). And Dr Strange training her or atleast worried about her "magic" (which clearly is more naturally attuned to her as opposed to him and other magicians just manipulating energy)

@StormXmen123 - Agreed! This is what I've been thinking as well. Would love a team up with Iron Man and Cap (one where they're on the same side), Hulk and Spider-Man, Thor and Captain Marvel, Spider-Man and Ant-Man, Strange and Scarlett and Vision, Black Widow and Hawkeye.

@StormXmen123 - I remember the Russos mentioned certain side characters will have big roles in Avengers 3 & 4. I think Scarlet Witch & Vision will be up there with Steven and Tony

@Deonox - Wands and Vision will defiantly have significant role considering they derive their power from the Mind Stone.

I personally believe, that Wanda will have a signicant role to play. She is the only being in the universe that derives power from the an Inifnity stone (Vision is physically connected to it). Plus, she has shown to have power over it when she takes down Vision. I feel she is the only one who could possibly take on thanos with the gauntlet.

And maybe Strange. If the gauntlet work for the this universe, surely if Strange takes thanks into another dimension that may weaken the power of the gauntlet.

@StormXmen123 - That's actually a good theory on how to beat Thanos. But Strange is going to need a distraction to pull that off

im fine with them not telling us until after Avengers 4. All i want right now is a trailer for infinity war, but that wont drop till Thor Ragnarok release.
