Earlier this year, Marvel Studios' president of production, Kevin Feige, was honored with The Visionary Award at the 37th Annual Saturn Awards. And according to
All Things Fangirl, with a heads up from the ever-reliable
RimBreaks, we got yet another hint that a particular cosmic weapon, and it's long-time rumored villainous wielder, may be appearing in
The Avengers.
During Kevin Feige’s video acceptance speech from the set of The Avengers, we got a little sneak peak at something I don’t believe has been previously alluded to anywhere. At two different points in the video, a PA walked through the background, trying to find a place to put a giant gold glove amongst all the other Avengers props laying around. At one point, Feige turned around and exclaimed, “Put that away, it’s a secret!” Cue hum of the audience, trying to figure out how the Infinity Gauntlet will fit into The Avengers.
Considering we've covered countless rumors that the Infinity Gauntlet, or rather it's holder, the mad titan Thanos, would be appearing in
The Avengers, it's seemingly safe to say they'll both have some sort of role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's even speculated that one of the Gauntlet's gems will be used on the magic weapon of the film's main villain, Loki and his staff. One thing is certain, Marvel Studios are really making it a priority to make us fanboys squeal; like they've been doing since 2008!
