LEGO MARVEL AVENGERS: CODE RED Trailer Assembles Earth's Mightiest Heroes Minifigures

Marvel Studios is releasing a new animated movie later this month, and while it's not in any way related to the MCU, LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red does look like a whole heap of fun. Here's the trailer...

Marvel Studios has shared the first trailer for LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red (via Toonado.com), confirming this animated adventure will premiere on Disney+ on October 27 (yes, a mere few days from now).

It's obvious that this is aimed at younger Marvel fans, but there's definitely plenty here for LEGO lovers and MCU devotees alike to enjoy. As you might expect, the teaser features heaps of nods to the comic books and Marvel's live-action movies, as well as cameos galore (we definitely weren't expecting to see Wolverine unsheath his plastic claws, for example).

It's been a long time since we've had an actual animated Marvel movie, though these LEGO-themed outings have gone some way in filling the void. Marvel Studios has also been working on an animated slate of TV shows, including 2021's What If...? and upcoming titles like X-Men '97, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and Marvel Zombies

While it hasn't been officially announced quite yet - you'll find leaked photos if you go looking - next month will see the release of a LEGO Avengers Tower that's expected to retail for upwards of $500. Largely based on Avengers: Age of Ultron, it promises to be a must-have for collectors and the timing of this movie, while unrelated, is fortuitous for LEGO.

We don't currently have a lot in the way of official details to share, though Disney+ did recently publish a brief synopsis for the movie.

"The Avengers gather to celebrate their latest victory, but their celebration is quickly interrupted by the mysterious disappearance of Black Widow’s father, Red Guardian," it reads. "As the Avengers investigate, they discover that Red Guardian isn’t the only one missing when they meet a dangerous new foe quite unlike anything they’ve ever encountered before."

In terms of confirmed cast members, those are Laura Bailey, Trevor Devall, Steve Blum, Will Friedle, James Mathis III, Liam O'Brien, Laura Post, Bumper Robinson, Roger Craig Smith, Fred Tatasciore, Travis Willingham, and Mick Wingert.

Can't believe this Lego movie got me more excited to watch than Marvel's upcoming major motion picture release, but here we are.

Both the Lego movies (including Batman) worled so well because it looked like actual with it's movements and backgrounds, that I wish more Lego animated stuff did that. Including the Lego Marvel and Star Wars shorts
