The only way I see this actually happening if there is an advertisement for The Amazing Spider-Man during the Times Square scenes in The Avengers. It acknowledges the movie but doesn't cross the multi-corporate lines.

Theoretically, speaking....

Word of: Spider-Man's cameo was leaked before Loki's army?

Guess Spider-Man is a less a secret to hide then the army.

Not buying it, but prove me wrong.

it just makes things to messy - are they going to have an avengers cameo in TAS? when would the movies take place in relation to one another? is it spider pre-powers? or post-powers?

i'd rather just not have it. Unless its during the climactic fight scene and the avengers are battling the army of aliens and spidey swoops down and takes one out real quick then leaps away to battle more. but even then it would take away from what's going on in the movie. Spider-man is 10x more popular than any character in Avengers (save MAYBE Hulk) and to have him pop in then out would just be wierd.

It's gonna happen, and my reason is because nobody has come forward to debunk it yet!! And I'm pretty sure both the studios worked it out so it benefitted both parties.

I think Marvel would like to introduce the first team of avengers for maybe two movies, and then add, spiderman etc.

"When Sony decides not to make anymore movies, which will most likely not happen."

You do know that Sony Pictures has been projected to possibly go under this year. ;-)

"24/7 Wall St. has created a new list of brands that will disappear, which includes Sears (NASDAQ:SHLD), Sony Pictures (NYSE:SNE), American Apparel (NYSE:APP), Nokia (NYSE:NOK), Saab, A&W All-American Foods Restaurants, Soap Opera Digest, Sony Ericsson, MySpace (NYSE:NWS.A), and Kellog's Corn Pops. (NYSE:K)."

That's for 2012

If he does have a cameo, awesome. If not, at least we have the comics, which are better than anything Hollywood can offer.

@Ranger14 I understand what your saying about company's on the verge of going under doesn't mean that that will quit doing business! They can file for chapter 11 bankrupt sell of other parts of the company's. I doubt that Sony pictures will go under. After all TASM is going to make thema a small fortune just like the originals did! This will take of an there will be sequels. This will make TASM franchise including l merchandise and what no a billion dollar franchise again! They did it before and they will do it again.

I think it would be cool if SM's parents were the cameo- talking with SHIELD or something. Aren't they connected somehow.

44.24% of the people on this site are either 10-year old fanboys or just moronic. Spider-Man will NOT be in the Avengers! Robin is not in TDKR and Namor will not be in Iron Man 3...What's next? this game of BS cameos is pretty fun....Let me guess, Goku will appear in Ghost Rider 2 because we saw someone with spiky hair in the trailer

Didnt Kevin Feige say a few months back that there would be no cameos of other cameos of new or other heros. I may be wrong but can't remember. Does anyone else remember that?

HulkPool@ There are many stock and financial sources out there that say they won't exist after this year. That means no doing business and that is based on knowing there will be a TASM film this year. According to the report I posted above from 24/7 Wallstreet

"Sony has a studio production arm which has nothing to do with its core businesses of consumer electronics and gaming. Sony bought what was Columbia Tri-Star Picture in 1989 for $3.4 billion. This entertainment operation has done poorly recently. Sony's fiscal year ends in March, and for the period, revenue for the group dropped 15% to $7.2 billion and operating income fell by 10% to $466 million. Sony is in trouble. It lost $3.1 billion in its latest fiscal year on revenue "

Sales from TASM aren't going to make much of a dent on $3.1 billion in losses, especially when they are projected at losing more this year. I am not saying it will happen, but it can't be dismissed based on the facts that are out there. There is a good chance it can happen.

can anybody think of another instance like this, where two competing studios/interests cross-pollinated their products? i wonder about predator 2 when the cop gets on their spacecraft and you see the skull of an alien behind glass. of course years later they did an alien vs. predator but not sure of the respective rights at that time.

HulkPool@ P.S. Feige did say that early last fall that he didn't want to mess up things by adding in more new hero characters that would need development. That could be interpreted to mean new characters to the viewing crowd that they aren't familiar with or any new characters to the film. He also said it before the merchandising and film rights deal signed between Sony and Disney. Who knows what could have been discussed at that point and directors have been known to change their minds before.

I am on record saying I think it is doubtful, but I am not one who believes anything is impossible, especially given what went down last fall between Disney and Sony agreeing to work together. Most would have said that was impossible prior to that time.

Iron Man had a X-men easter egg. The top record for flight was the blackbird.
