"I'm proud to say I worked on Marvel's THE AVENGERS," says Justin Sweet. "My task on this film was to develop the Aliens that the Avengers fight. It was a collaborative effort, and I worked along some very talented fellows. Here are some of the aliens that I did ending with the last one that got the nod for the final. Fun trying to figure these guys out."

"Trying to get some Kirby in there..."

"Trying out some chariot ideas.."

Lastly, while 'Bruce Banner' actor completed motion capture work for the Incredible Hulk, there was someone else who did so; Steve Romm, aka Green Steve. In addition to providing a photo from the Albuquerque set, the bodybuilder shared with Long Island Newsday specific things he did; running, jumping and slamming Loki around.

"I did one day [as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, and when we were done, they asked me if I could stay longer. One of the casting directors said, 'You're going to be painted green. You know what that means, right?' It meant about 30 days in body paint, being shot with these special cameras taking pictures from every angle so they can see every nuance of how the muscles bounce and flex," he says. "I never signed a contract for the Hulk, just [one] as a S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier. When the Hulk's jumping from building to building, they had me jumping from particle board to particle board," he says. He also revealed he received $300 daily for his services; more than any extra.

rdj's always upfront and everytime that happens, cap/thor is pushed back too much, or their faces are edited to level the face of rdj, and even more is that they make rdj look like a lot younger as much as possible in those promos. dafuq

Because he got the most money and he probably also wanted the most screen time ontop of that.

yeah. i think aside from the fact that the 2008 ironman was pretty good, he had good timing. xD what big-time movie did he battle against?

well, as for captain america. he didn't flop even tho he was sandwiched between the showing of Transformers 3 and HP-Deathly Hollows part2. (both movies to conclude, well atleast at that time..)

i think more than 75% of the people who watched the Avengers watched it NOT because they wanted to see Ironman, but because of the TEAM. There's no "I" in a team, bro. xD feel me? :))

I'm ok with RDJ getting whatever he gets. If he didn't do such an outstanding job with the first IM this whole experiment may have never happened..

His 2 films both generated a bigger box office than any of the other solo films

And now in this movieverse which I believe is earth 199999 IronMan rules.

Why did the Chitauri all die when IRON MAN blew up their mother ship though? I felt like that was kind of a cop out to tie everything up to neatly in the end. It would have been better if they had showed a montage or something of the cops and military start to take back the city after The Avengers closed the portal and took out all the Leviathans.

^that annoyed me also,soon as he blew it up I was like yeah! then when it cut back and they all just fell to the groung I was like...ahh thats cheating! but tbh I dont think there was any other way to kill them all without it adding about 15 mins to the movie lol still good though despite that

@Ramon, Exactly :)
I like the Chitauri they went with in the movie. These ones are too weird and creepy. Was that big Chitauri with the pic of the 3 aliens in the movie? I don't remember.

So Marvel studios really pulled the wool over Steve Romm's eyes. Only $300 extra for 30 days more work? Wow.

2 things that bothered me about Avengers, weak ass alien Chitarui that uses the Phantom Menace cop out to be deafeted, non believable scene with scarjo hitching a ride on one of the alien speeders with Caps help, how? she just a human, made me feel like I could have been kicking Chitarui ass, other than that its one of my top 3 movies of all time

@HannibalKing - That's $300 daily, for 30 days.
So 30 x $300 = $9000. Still not a whole lot, but not bad for a month's work.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, most of the Chitauri in the Ultimate comics are drones, with the odd commander-type that controls them. Or, that's at least what I remember from the Ultimates, where there's the drones and then there's the Nazi one (Herr Kleiser, or something) that controls them. So the Chitauri shutting down when the mother ship blows up didn't really bother me too much.

But I'll admit it was almost too neat and tidy a way to just have the fight end all at once

Do you all remember those devices that were placed on their heads at the very beginning of the film?

there's no debate as to RDJ's star power when it comes to that i just hope that the next Director if Joss where not to return to direct it should be staunch enough not to give in to RDJ's stroke so as not to overshadowed the other characters with screen times or him having the best lines all the time. glad his hardcore fans or "Downers" weren't debating or insisting on that at least they're more reasonable not to make him like another "Batman" or "Nolan" gods.

@closerpleasures trash the bootleg and see it in a theater. Bootlegs are pathetic in best case scenarios unless the projectionist recorded it but even then they need to know what they are doing. Might as well watch it on a 6 inch black and white tv while your at it

Raise your hand if you want to see Mark Ruffalo Hulk out in IRON MAN 3.
- Joe Hill (Writer, Locke & Key)

both hands up but not in an Iron Man 3 movie, but on his SOLO movie that he finally deserves as patterned to what Joss did in the Avengers!
