Anna Kendrick Asks Ben Affleck For A Role In THE BATMAN While Dressed As Robin
Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick have a lot of chemistry in The Accountant, but could we see her suit up as Robin in The Batman? The actress hopes so, but Affleck is more interested in starring in Pitch Perfect.
In a humourous new interview with MTV, Anna Kendrick lobbies for a role in Ben Affleck's Batman movie. It's a pretty funny skit, especially as it ends with Ben Affleck revealing his disappointment about the actress beating him to her role in the Pitch Perfect franchise! Given their chemistry, it's entirely possible that Affleck could end up casting her in the upcoming DC Comics adaptation, but whether or not she'll get the chance to suit up as Robin - or Batman as she requests here - is hard to say!
There's no denying that she would be a good fit for either the Stephanie Brown version of Robin or even Barbara Gordon, but seeing as we know so little about what to expect from The Batman, it's a case of just making wild guesses at this stage. Chances are Kendrick won't end up making an appearance, but Affleck has recruited his The Accountant co-star J.K. Simmons, so you never know (and you'd best believe he'll assemble one hell of a supporting cast when you look at his other films).
Time will tell, but for now, enjoy the video and seeing Kendrick "suited up" as Batman's sidekick!
