Back in July, Batman-on-Film reported that Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie will take place inside Arkham Asylum, in a film that sounds very similar to the Arkham series of video games from Rocksteady.  Yesterday, Heroic Hollywood founder and The Wrap film reporter Umberto "El Mayimbe" Gonzalez backed that rumor but clarified that the entire will won't be set in Gotham's home for the criminally insane.

How Deathstroke factors into the film is anyone's guess at this point.  Evidence has been gathered supporting the notion that the skilled mercenary appears in Justice League before tangling with The Dark Knight, one-on-one in Ben Affleck's solo superhero feature.  Affleck has previously stated that his film will borrow from a few notable comic book runs but for the most part, will  be an original story.

ABOUT BATMAN
Batman (Bruce Wayne) is a DC Comics superhero created in 1939 by Bill Finger and Bob Kane.  Kane and Finger have previously stated that they drew inspiration from The Phantom, Zorro, Doc Savage, Dick Tracy and Sherlock Holmes for the creation of their new character.  After the murder of his mother and father before his very eyes, a young Bruce Wayne embarks on a quest to create a persona that would allow him to acquire vengeance against the criminal element that deprived him of his parents.   To date, there have been 10 live-action theatrical films, 18 animated feature films, 2 live-action television series and 6 animated TV shows.  The character has also made numerous appearances in other DC Comics ensemble projects such as the animated Justice and Justice League Unlimited series and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

DCEU SOLO BATMAN MOVIE DEVELOPMENT:  After starring in Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Justice League before directing, writing and starring in a solo Batman feature film.  The antagonist will be Deathstroke, played by Joe Manganiello.  Jeremy Irons will reprise his role as Alfred Pennyworth and J.K. Simmons will play Commissioner James Gordon.  Affleck is writing the screenplay with DC Films co-chief, Geoff Johns.

This rumor seems unlikely. Deathstroke is almost definitely going to be in the movie, and I can't think of a reason why he'd be in Arkham.

@Valdez - Maybe bounty on a criminal. Criminal would be easy to pick off but it just so happens Batman is dropping someone off. Just a thought lol

I'd guess the 3rd act takes place in Arkham Asylum

If El Mayimbe is saying it then it must be true.

@grif - Which is why Red Hood needed to be the villain. A pure detective movie with kick-ass combat.

@SonOfAGif - Red Hood movie? Everyone will know the end of the mystery. I say adapt Long Halloween and change the ending. That's a TRUE Batman detective story and arguably the best one. I can't really think of any other great Batman stories that are pure mysteries. Other than Hush, of course.

@SonOfAGif - I can't imagine most people being very surprised. It's an easy mystery to figure out. Between the comics, DTV films, and Arkham Knight, people know Red Hood. World will spread in the lead up to the film. Red Hoods story was a mystery for like an issue lol, if anything.
