Aaron Eckhart of The Dark Knight fame is set to play a hardened soldier fighting alien forces in his next film Battle: Los Angeles.

The premise is pretty simple, aliens attack Los Angeles, the army fights back. These set-photos were released online not to long ago and from those pictures it looks to, at least have some good action.

So why L.A.?.......or right, it's full of retards and whackos. The army should just let the aliens have it. Start with fox and go from there.

The site is expanding to include more things than just strictly comicbook movies. Deal
with it. I for one like it as do many others. If u don't go somewhere else.

Lee77@ quit your whining.

They're filming this in Louisiana- it's just a few hours from my house. A friend of mine is an extra in this movie. (This isn't his first movie though- http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1591432/, his imdb)

Anyway, he called me last week to tell me he's gotten his biggest role yet- Clay is going to be the stand-in for Ryan Reynolds on Green Lantern!!! (which everyone knows is filming mostly in New Orleans, starting in 2010)
I'm hoping I can use this connection to get down to that set in March/April and see what I can see.

Did anyone complain when we were discussing District9 over the summer? No.
It's an alien movie, and it stars a former cbm actor...I thin that falls into the category of things that we're all interested in hearing about.

I think the whole this isn't a comic book whine fest has been discussed far too often. I could go into the whole reason why it's allowed but it's far simpler to just state that if Galactus doesn't devour the article than it's allowed to be here.

That explosion scene near the highway, that was filmed in Bossier, LA. I live there and I got to see the gigantic greenscreen to create that effect, it was awesome.

No one bitched about District 9.
No one bitched about Avatar.
No one bitched about Sherlock Holmes.

But this is your shot heard round the world?

lol

Aren't u guys the same for spending the time to gripe about the people who gripe about non-comic book movie news. U r just creating ur own whine fest. I'll bring the cheese and crackers and make it a party.

It's not whining about the comments, I was stating a fact. No one complained about district 9, and also the article hasn't been deleted so obviously Galactus has deemed it worthy, and who are we to question his wisdom?

superdog@ lee isnt whining..he is simply making a point...u say this site is expanding and that u like it as do many others...well i dont like it as do many others so whats ur point...we come 2 this site 2 read about movies based off comics...(hense the friggin name)..so it would make sense that if u wanted 2 read about other things...U SHOULD BE THE ONES GOING ELSEWHERE!....and by the way...sherlock holmes was a comic put out by DC...do ur homework HB@...

The RDJ movie had nothing to do with the Sherlock Holmes DC comic.
