#citizen9602: Possible Spoilers Ahead!

Untitled Dark Knight Sequel
Release Date: To Be Determined

recent NEWS and some RUMORS
2/11/2010
Chris Nolan:"We just tried to make a movie that stands as a movie. The fact that it happens to be based on a long history of this comic book character I think is irrelevant — I think it's on us to make a great movie and not rely on the fact that it's a comic book movie or excuse certain things because it's a comic book movie. We didn't want to do either; we just wanted to make as great of a movie that we possibly could.”
#c: Well I definitely agree a great CBM must first and foremost be a great movie. Well said Mr. Nolan... well said.

Reports are in that writers of the previous Batman films (Batman Begins and Dark Knight) are back in writing the next Bat sequel.
#c: Definitely great news David Goyer and Jonah Nolan has my complete faith on this project.

Morgan Freeman, who played Lucius Fox, is confident that there will be another Batman movie but unsure of his involvement.
#c: The cast of Batman Begins, Freeman, Caine and Oldman, were the ones who really gave class to superhero movies, now we are seeing top talents for our CBMs because of this guys. So I say kudos to them, and not seeing Freeman on the next movie will be a big loss, so I think WB will keep him.

DIRECTOR and some of the MAJOR CASTS

Director:Christopher Nolan
c: He brought us already Batman Begins and Dark Knight, so I am confident (then again Raimi had Spider-man 1 and 2, and then he had... drumroll please... Spider-man 3), but I think Nolan has a better sense than let's say Schumacher!

Batman: Most likely Christian Bale
#c: Aside from that awful and over the top batvoice, Bale has done a good job.

#c: I think most of the "not dead" cast will return but we will wait for official announcements.

Bring in Leo DiCaprio to play the Joker while in Arkham. Despite Ledger giving the performance of a generation, before TDK nobody would consider Ledger in the same league as Dicaprio and I still dont. Look at his "Whats Eating Gilbert Grape" or "This Boy's Life", he's more than capable of pulling it off and even exceeding Ledger's Joker. If you read the comic you know that the Joker's persona and personality change depending on how he feels on a given day. Why not bring in A List actors who fit the body type and let them all provide a different spin on the character. Let each actor do the Joker how they want. No need t try and follow Heath, Nicholas or anyone else.

And Bring in Brock Lesnar to play Bane. Have him break Batman at the end of the movie and let the next director start a new trilogy showing Batman regain the mantle.
