Is Jared Leto Teasing A Return For His Take On The Joker In The DC Films Universe?

Jared Leto didn't seem at all happy about how his performance in Suicide Squad was chopped down to pretty much nothing, but could he still be open to returning to the DC Films Universe? Well, speculation is running rampant on social media tonight as the actor has shared some very, very intriguing images via Snapchat. As you can see, the first is the iconic cover of Batman: The Killing Joke.

The second meanwhile is a tooth which is being stored within a Joker themed purple and gold case.

What exactly these mean is hard to say, but they're clearly related to the Clown Prince of Crime! Could it be that Leto has signed on to reprise the role of the iconic villain in The Batman or Gotham City Sirens? Perhaps, though it's worth noting that it wasn't too long ago we heard some rumblings of the actor showing up in Justice League this November. Share your theories in the comments section below.

@Blast - No dirt on Leto, but I think Harry Lloyd would've made a perfect Mister Jay.

Criticism or "unnecessary bashing" aside, they really did [frick] up with Jared and this version of Joker. He's the most iconic comic book villain in the world, and they put him in a universe where characters can show up to, like 10 times. To get to the point, they could've seriously milked this incredibly popular character, instead they alienated a good chunk of people who would go see a movie for joker alone, to the point where a large number of people don't want to see him appear ever again. This universe will objectively continue on for years, and now they're stuck with this alienatiing version of Joker. They would def change things if hey had the chance.

If lex luthor didn't get a recast after Bvs then Jared Leto isn't going anywhere that's for damn sure.

@TheRealMandarin - I just hope we get a more serious performance out of Eisenberg in Justice League. If the actors fix their problems, I won't be as nervous for them in their respective movies.

This does not get me excited for some reason.
