Jared Leto Reveals How He Developed His Joker Laugh For SUICIDE SQUAD
Jared Leto reveals just how committed he was to nailing the Joker's laugh. If you live in Toronto or visited during the same time that Suicide Squad was filming, perhaps you unintentionally helped...
When crafting a live-action Batman film, there's two things you need to get right regarding Gotham's protector and Clown Prince of crime - Batman's scowl and the Joker's laugh. While appearing on CNBC's Squawk Box, Leto revealed his method for refining the Joker's laugh until he felt it was just right. If you were in Toronto last August and her an incredibly creepy laugh while dining at a restaurant, chances are pretty good that was Leto.
"I worked on the laugh like walking around the streets of New York and Toronto," said the Academy-Award winning actor. "I kinda walked around the streets and see what laugh would kind of get under peoples' skin. If you hear someone laugh loud at a restaurant it's a little jarring. I tried them out and I got to a place where I would laugh and people would turn around like, 'Who is this creepy guy behind me?'"
Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th. David Ayer wrote and directed the DCEU feature. The talented cast assembled includes Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, Scott Eastwood and Ben Affleck.
