It's been a tumultuous week for Warner Bros. and
Batman star Ben Affleck, to say the least. The talented actor and director recently announced that he had just completed a stint in alcohol rehab and reports began circulating that the solo
Batman movie was no longer on track to begin shooting this Spring.
After weeks and weeks of appearing annoyed by the questions from the media and
continued reaffirmations that he would appear in the movie and that he was currently immersed in training for the role, Joe Manganiello was a guest on the
Pittsburgh Today Live morning show yesterday, where he kind of threw his hands up in the air when asked whether that was still the case.
Joe Manganiello on Deathstroke in The Batman... by BatmanNewsCom
If you recall, a few reports from last month stated that Manganiello's role as Deathstroke in the Batman movie was no longer a sure thing and that WB was compensating the actor for the reversal
with a role in Dwayne Johnson's Rampage.
With the Batman movie now set to be rewritten from scratch by director Matt Reeves, there seems to be a real possibility that a new villain will be chosen for Affleck's Dark Knight to face. Until Reeves completes his script, it's anyones guess as to who that will be.
