well, when you put it this way, I guess he does kill a lot of people. I hadn't realized it.

"Bad guys" are so dispensable, you don't really think of them as dying. I'm sure if I got clobbered on top of the head with a half ton metal bell, then thrown several stories to the ground, I think I'd be dead.

In the Burton/Schumacher movies, he never mentions having an anti-killing code. In the Nolan films, he does, and he still "kills" like a dozen people, so it's a character choice in the old ones and lazy writing in the new ones. I hope the Snyder films at least make a choice and commit to it either way. He shouldn't just say "Oh, I never kill" and then get out of basically every situation through the death of his enemies.

And yet when Superman fails to save the lives of millions of the citizens of Metropolis and instead engages in a battle with Zod by throwing him through many buildings and therefore causing more casualties then EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MIN- oh wait.

The notion that Superman should have saved the "millions" in Metropolis instead of fighting Zod is asinine. By the time Superman saved a few dozen from a falling building, Zod could have killed tens of thousands of others. Superman was one man. Why should he sacrifice the lives of thousands and millions to save a few hundred? Superman not being able to take on worldy threats by himself is a perfect set up for the need for a Justice League. The Avengers have been around for a few years now yet they have not established why the world needs them. Every worldly issue that the Avengers faced was directly caused by themselves.

"Man of Steel wasn't that good of a movie"

"Did you watch it? Like beginning to end, to form that opinion?"

"Well, no. I just heard that from friends that did. I don't like DC movies, or Superman really."

"... *bitchslap* stop wasting my time!!!"
