It's starting to look like a lot of what we thought we knew about The Batman - Part II might have been way off.
Potentially major spoilers ahead.
Following a set video showing what appeared to be Alfred Pennyworth resuscitating Bruce Wayne (as far as we can tell, only Andy Serkis and Robert Pattinson's stand-ins were present), the mysterious blonde woman we assume to be Scarlett Johansson's character has arrived on the scene - and she's not alone.
The woman can be seen standing with her arms around a young boy, and they both seem to be very concerned about Bruce's predicament.
As you can imagine, these latest shots have sent speculation into overdrive. Could this kid be Bruce Wayne's son, Damien? If so, does that mean Johansson is playing Talia al Ghul? At the very least, it's probably safe to assume that this character isn't a full-on villain.
A young Dick Grayson or another Boy Wonder is also a possibility, of course.
For now, all we have are theories (though we'd be very surprised if it wasn't; we're not even sure that this is Johansson's character yet). But now that these photos are out there, director Matt Reeves may decide to shed some more light on his sequel on social media.
Earlier this year, Reeves officially announced the movie's main cast on social media.
The filmmaker confirmed that Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jeffrey Wright (Jim Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb/The Penguin), Jayme Lawson (Bella Réal) and Gil Perez-Abraham (Officer Martinez) will reprise their roles, alongside new cast members Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry.
Reeves did not reveal the characters Gotham City's new additions will play.
After several previous delays, The Batman - Part II was scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 1, 2027, but was recently pushed back to February 18, 2028.
