UPDATE: The Batman 2 Set Videos Reveal The New Batsuit As The Dark Knight Commandeers A GCPD Motorcycle

These latest videos from the Glasgow set of Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II reveal a quick glimpse of the new Batsuit, as the Dark Knight makes his escape on a GCPD motorcycle...

UPDATE: Though these new videos and photos are still a little on the grainy side, they do provide a slightly clearer look at the new Batsuit.

Original story follows.

Production on The Batman - Part II is expected to move to a new location soon, but cameras are still rolling in Glasgow, Scotland, for the time being, and these latest set videos reveal some intriquing new developments in the GCPD chase sequence.

With the Batmobile well and truly totalled (more here), it looks like the Dark Knight is going to commandeer a police motorcycle to make his escape. As many fans on social media have pointed out, this appears to be a nod to similar events from Frank Miller's Batman: Year One.

We also get a quick glimpse of Robert Pattinson's (the actor himself wasn't present for this shoot, despite rumors to the contrary) stunt double, Rick English, in the full Batsuit.

It's too dark to make out many details, but when English steps into the light of the doorway, we can see that the ears on the cowl are indeed slightly longer than they were on the previous suit.

Check out the videos at the links below.

Potentially major spoilers ahead.

Following a set video showing what appeared to be Alfred Pennyworth resuscitating Bruce Wayne,  there's been no further sign of the mysterious blonde woman we assume to be Scarlett Johansson's character or the young boy that was with her.

Could this kid be Bruce Wayne's son, Damien? If so, does that mean Johansson is playing Talia al Ghul? At the very least, it's probably safe to assume that her character isn't a full-on villain.

A young Dick Grayson or another Boy Wonder is also a possibility, of course.

For now, all we have are theories (though we'd be very surprised if it wasn't; we're not even sure that this is Johansson's character yet). But now that these photos are out there, director Matt Reeves may decide to shed some more light on his sequel on social media.

Earlier this year, Reeves officially announced the movie's main cast on social media.

The filmmaker confirmed that Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jeffrey Wright (Jim Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb/The Penguin), Jayme Lawson (Bella Réal) and Gil Perez-Abraham (Officer Martinez) will reprise their roles, alongside new cast members Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry.

Reeves did not reveal the characters Gotham City's new additions will play.

After several previous delays, The Batman - Part II was scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 1, 2027, but was recently pushed back to February 18, 2028.

That’s cool , I like the Year One homage with Batman riding the GCPD bike…

I’m assuming he gets that after he crashes his car but if this is the same chase sequence in which he has the blonde woman then I wonder what happens to her?.

Maybe he drops her off before crashing but we’ll see.

Anyway , the ears might be a bit too long but I’m cool with it and looking forward to the film as a fan of the first one!!.

I see nothing new about this suit.

@KindredMac - There's slight modifications I bet but looks more of the same. Ears are a lot pointier.

It's like when they redid the costume for Spider-Man 2. Like yeah it looks the same but there is some noticeable differences to the costume.

So is this a “Look at the NEW BAT SUIT” or “a NEW LOOK at the Bat suit”? These are 2 different things.
