I love his scores but this does feel like a rather safe or even boring choice. Joker's music was so damn unique, it's really sticking with me.

Sweet, Giacchino is one of my favourite composers and I'd be very interested to hear his style of film score amplied to the world of Batman.

Great choice. This is def going to rival The Dark Knight as my favorite Batman movie.

Hopefully they let him get an actual theme for batman, instead of doing something like just having an orchestra play the 60s batman theme.

@Origame - I'm glad Giancchino did that with Homecoming though. The 60s Spider-Man IS the iconic Spider-Man theme. Batman on the other hand doesn't have one iconic theme. The closest is probably the 89 music.

@Nightwing1015 - dude, first that theme has long since became a joke. And really? You honestly don't see the 60s batman theme as being just as iconic?

Also, all that choice did was make sure the theme had no identity.

@Origame - The Batman 66 theme is culturally iconic but it's not tied to the character. It doesn't represent the modern character perfectly in the same way the 78 Superman theme does for example.

So correct me if I’m wrong, but is he doing the scores for Batman, Jurassic World 3, and Spiderman 3? All those movies come out weeks from each other. Seems like too much on his plate.

My favorite composer. The theme for Homecoming/FFH is so memorable and catchy, and he also killed it with The Incredibles/2 and Ratatouille.

Can't wait.

One of his most underrated scores IMO.

First decision from this movie so far I don't like. What a boring choice, outside of his Pixar stuff his music's so blasé and forgettable - like the JJ Abrams of film composers. Was hoping for Alexandre Desplat or something.
Even worse after how good Joker's score was, and how good Reznor's work on HBO's Watchmen is meant to be according to reviews.
