Barring any pandemic-related delays, The Batman is set to hit theaters exactly two months from today, and a bunch of new promo art for Matt Reeves' highly-anticipated reboot has now found its way online.

Most of the images feature stylized character designs, but we also get some cool new shots of Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight, Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz) and Edward Nashton/The Riddler (Paul Dano).

Warner Bros. recently released a new "The Bat and The Cat" trailer for The Batman (see below), which spotlighted plenty of new footage. We might see a final trailer at some point over the next few weeks, but don't expect any more of the movie's secrets to be spilled! Though we're not talking Spider-Man: No Way Home levels of mystery, the film is expected to have a couple of surprises up its sleeve.

"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens."

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

The Batman is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.

Selina's nose must itch like anything in that mask.

Riddler looks burned so those leaks may be re we’ll be true. Not totally feeling the look but he is definitely creepy.

@BlackBeltJones - it looks more like he has saran wrap around his head so that he does not leave any hair or DNA behind in his crime scenes. After all, Batman is the worlds greatest detective, so the Riddler is doing all he can to avoid leaving any trace of who he is.

@LandGrizzle - good point. I also thought about how plastic film wrap helps maintain burn wound moisture.

@BlackBeltJones - that’s Saran Wrap to keep his hair from identifying him at his crime scenes.

@McMurdo - That is a great deduction! I was wondering about the saran wrap. Very cool. It goes to show you they've put a lot of thought into this movie's characters.

Normally I dont like changing a characters look so drastically that you dont even know who he is but in this case I'll make an exception🙋

This Riddler really wearing a hotel shower cap, lol. And I hope Selina gets a better mask at the end of the movie. Heck, they can even tease it in a post credits scene for all I care.

My god…
The Riddler is the breathing incarnation of some of our worst nightmares.
This interpretation is slowing becoming the definitive villain look of this new decade.
Absolutely terrifying and fantastic. Bravo to the concept artists and Dano and reeves for this horrific creation.

The amount of creative detail they’ve put into this is crazy. Saran wrapping your head to prevent DNA evidence 🤯

Who thinks of that?!

Pattinson’s gaze as Batman is piercing. The way his eyes look behind the mask is very cool.

The only time a comic book character should look different from their comic is if the filmmaker can come up with something better. This is very rarely the case but in the case of the Batman villain who literally wears a purple and green suit (barely different than joker) with a bowler hat and a bunch of question marks...it can be improved on.

So I think this is one of the few instances where I prefer Dano’s look for the Riddler than them trying to put him in the bowler and question mark suit and purple robin mask.

Nah. Zodiac Killer Riddler works for Matt Reeves' vision of Batman, but the green suit and bowler hat suits the comic book version far better. I don't see the egocentric and flamboyant narcissist of the comics (who mainly wants to prove his intellectual superiority to Batman) dressing up in executioner gear and suffocating people with duct tape.

@Darkknight2149 -

But narcissistic criminals do look like that in real life.

The joker was done realistically to great effect.

But even joker could be more comic accurate and still scary/intimidating.

And that’s the bottom line,
A skinny nerd in green suit with a robin mask is not intimidating in the slightest. So that’s why they aren’t trying to go that route in his design.

The guy is supposed to scare Batman. Not make him laugh.

Riddler isn't supposed to be physically intimidating. He's more of a manipulator, mastermind, and intellectual adversary-type villain. The suit and bowler hat perfectly reflect his comic book personality. There's a comic where the Riddler explains that he wears green because it's the colour that most attracts the female eye. The man is dorky, stylish, full of himself, and his primary goal is to prove that he is smarter than Batman.

Zodiac Riddler works for Reeves' gritty noirish detective-driven reboot of the Batman films, but that's definitely not the comic book Riddler (nor should it be). Batman has enough serial killers in his rogues gallery as it is.

Selina's really protecting her identity there exposing 90% of her face.

I really dig Pattinson's look as Batman. The cowl really fits him well and looks good.

I never liked the cowl in the previous movies. They never looked sleek and always made Batman's head look way too big for his body.
