Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice gave us the armor wielding,  kryptonite-spear slinging version of Gotham City's shadowy protector but director Matt Reeves wants to show a different side.

There’s a chance to do an almost noir driven, detective version of Batman that is point-of-view driven in a very very powerful way, that will hopefully connect you to what’s going on inside of his head and inside of his heart,” said Reeves to New Trailer Buzz during an interview for War of the Planet of the Apes.

It will be interesting to see what side of The Caped Crusader we see in Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon's Justice League. When The Batman finally hits theaters, will Reeves be presenting a new take on Affleck's grizzled vigilante or will he be continuing groundwork already laid in the team's cinematic confrontation with Steppenwolf?
