Well that was fast!

Our first proper look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker has finally hit. TMZ published the video of what seems to be a train heist. As we can see, there seems to be some type of protest of sorts as the train doors open and a crowd lunges onto the platform. The Joker can be clearly seen walking out with a plastic clown mask. This is reminiscent to the opening of The Dark Knight. 
 
                  We also have another look at Joaquin Phoenix and oh boy! He looks eerily familiar to real life serial killer John Wayne Gacy. The walk and mannerisms Phoenix is demonstrating in this short clip is very unsettling in my opinion. What do you guys think of the video and set photo? Will Joaquin Phoenix give us the best live action Joker yet? 
 
Opening October 9th2019, The Joker will star Joaquin Phoenix and be directed by Todd Philips (The Hangover).

The colors really pop which is both a positive and negative for me. With that said though this actually grabs my attention even more than yessterdays pic did. Even when i said thisnmovie was unnecessary ill admit this movie now has my full attention. And this is coming from a Marvel "Fanboy". (I find the use of the word fanboy to be dumb at this point by the way).

The way he is using make-up you could be forgiven for thinking this is an origin story for Heath's Joker from the Dark Knight.

Not sure why there are so many anti-makeup comments. Arguably our best Joker is still Heath Ledger, who ... wait for it ... wore makeup.

Hopefully, this isn't one of those supposedly "grounded" flicks because the setup is unbelievable. A guy dressed like that strolling through the NYC subway in the 1980s would have caught a few police bullets, or better yet, some Bernie Getz action from an enraged commuter. I shouldn't grouse, though. In the real world, Joker would be sniped by a rival or a cop within days of showing his face, and ditto for Batman. Fantasies like these are meant to be unbelievable.
