THE WALKING DEAD Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Continues Teasing Batman Role In FLASHPOINT

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) has been teasing the possibility that he'll play Batman for a while now and the actor has once again dropped some hints that he'll one day suit up as the Dark Knight.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan appeared at a panel at Walker Stalker Con in New Jersey yesterday and, as you might expect, talk quickly turned to The Walking Dead star's future in the DC Films Universe. He appeared as Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and has been dropping hints about possibly suiting up as the Caped Crusader for quite a while now, specifically in Flashpoint.

Asked by a fan if he would ever be interested in
theater acting, Morgan ended up saying that he may, in fact, have a very different sort of theater in mind when it comes to when we'll get to see him outside of AMC's zombie drama. "There's a role in the DC Universe I've got my eye on," the actor said, alluding to playing Batman on the big screen. The question now is, will he ever actually get to suit up?

It was claimed a while ago that Flashpoint will only happen if Justice League were to succeed and that movie has not been a box office hit. We have, however, heard that Ben Affleck is going to make his final appearance as the Dark Knight there so this could be the perfect opportunity for the mantle to be handed over and for Thomas Wayne to become the DC Film Universe's new Caped Crusader.

As long as WB executives keep their hands out of the cookie jar and let the movie thrive or flop based on the director they hire.. especially if they can land Robert Zemeckis ... but too many cooks in the kitchen leads to a BvS, SS, JL situation where you have a Frankenstein mash up

So is Flashpoint Batman just gonna be a retread of BvS Batman? Kinda nailed him already...

@Krampus - I don't know about "comicbook accurate," but he looked and acted like a boss.

Anyone who thinks that the DCEU is done is smoking some good stuff. Warner’s has a cash cow on their hands and needs a Feige or the right team to guide it.
