THE BATMAN: Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight Speaks In New Teaser Ahead Of DC FanDome Trailer

"It's not just a signal... it's a warning."

Ahead of the new trailer for Matt Reeves' The Batman at DC FanDome this Saturday, the movie's Twitter account has shared a brief teaser promo. It doesn't include any new footage from the movie, but it does feature some dialogue from Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight!

We got a little tease of Pattinson's "Bat-voice" in the first trailer, but this is the first time we've heard him utter more than a couple of words. It sounds like he's going to be adopting a similar inflection to Ben Affleck's take on the Caped Crusader, but, to be fair, there aren't many options available to an actor when it comes to this character.

Many feel Christian Bale went a bit OTT with the gravelly tones in Christopher Nolan's movies (particularly The Dark Knight Rises), so a harsh whisper is probably the best choice.

Check out the video below along with some new promo art and the full DC FanDome lineup.

I do love the deep whisper he’s going with. Not overdoing it. It really works.

@BlackBeltJones - For everything that is wrong with the Snyderverse (and there's a lot!) I thought his take on Batman using a voice modulator actually made logical sense. This is a guy who has almost limitless financial resources to build what he needs. He has a car with every weapon and defense mechanism you can think of as well as a plane and a high tech suit to disguise and protect himself yet to disguise his voice he simply growls? Using microphones to amplify and alter his voice just made sense to me. Having said that, I do like the tone of his whisper in this video. He still has Keaton to beat though. He's still the king of bat-voices to me.

Voice is dope, kinda reminds me of Ben mckenzie’s batman in the year one animated. I think Pattinson’s voice is great for a year two batman

Wow!

I’ll be the first to admit I was extremely hesitant when he was cast as Batman. I haven’t seen him in much, but judged him based on my sister’s obsession with him in Twilight.

After seeing the concept art I was still on the fence, then the teaser dropped and I was fully on board. Now, releasing his voice in this quick shot is perfect. I’m stoked for this movie and cannot wait to see what they’ve done!

Why are people saying this is the first we've heard of his Batman voice? Didn't he say "I'm vengence" in the first trailer over a year ago?

@TheDoctor1225 - there's definitely some microphone/voice sinthizer being used there. Not as much as Bafleck ..a little more subtle.

Love it. Always prefer the actor to do the voice change instead of post production. Can't wait!

@Dredd97 - I do think it makes sense from an in world perspective to use a voice changer, but yeah it sounds better when it's done by the actor.
