If you saw the teaser trailer for the upcoming DCEU flick
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), then you got a good first look at some of the major players from Batman’s mythos that will be featured in the film. One of those characters was Roman Sionis, better known as Black Mask. However, if you didn’t already know that the crime-lord was being played by Ewan McGregor, then you may not have known it was him. This would most likely be due to the fact that in the trailer, he did not don the infamous mask that makes him so menacing in the comics.
Well a fan decided to whet our appetites by creating this cool teaser poster for the film.
Created by artist William Gray, this teaser poster puts Sionis’ iconic mask front and center, sitting in a pool of blood for dramatic effect. At the top of theposter, the main cast is listed.
Black Mask is reportedly set to be the main villain of
Birds of Prey, which is said to take place in a Gotham that hasn’t seen or heard from The Dark Knight in a couple of years. We’ll see him face the femme fatale trio of Harley Quinn, The Huntress, and Black Canary. Hopefully McGregor exercises a multi-film option that would see him square off with Bats in the future.
