Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn Rumored To Ditch Her SUICIDE SQUAD Tattoos In BIRDS OF PREY
We got a good look at Harley Quinn's tats in Suicide Squad, but if a new report is to be believed, her body art may very well be removed when Cathy Yan takes the helm of the upcoming Birds of Prey movie...
Harley Quinn will return to the DC Extended Universe in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) but it sounds like the anti-hero's split from The Joker will result in even more changes than most of us expected.
According to a new report, mockups are being passed around at Warner Bros. featuring a totally new look for Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn which don't feature the tattoos she was sporting in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. The character's ink was met with a mixed response from fans so it would be no great surprise if Birds of Prey director Cathy Yan decides to scrap them.
After all, most of the tats branded Harley as The Joker's property and it's said that DC boss Walter Hamada has an open mind when it comes to continuity, telling filmmakers that they can take what they liked from older DCEU movies and scrap what they didn't like.
It's also been reported that there are no plans for Jared Leto's Joker to appear in Birds of Prey and with James Gunn at the helm of Suicide Squad 2, it's highly unlikely we'll get to see that version of the Clown Prince of Crime for some time now (Gunn has never had anything good to say about Leto, so them working together is doubtful).
