CinemaCon officially got underway at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas tonight, and Warner Bros. debuted a couple of new promo posters for Wonder Woman 1984 and Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) during their presentation.

The posters don't give us new looks at any of the characters, but they do feature updated logos for the upcoming DC movies.

Some behind-the-scenes footage from both also screened for those in attendance. Rohan will be bringing you a more detailed breakdown later on, but it definitely sounds like there were a couple of intriguing revelations - particularly when it comes to Harley's (Margot Robbie) role on the Birds of Prey team. Apparently, we also got a teasing glimpse of Kristen Wiig's Cheetah.

UPDATE - It looks like the WW 1984 poster is actually fan-made.

Birds of Prey flies into theaters on February 7, 2020, while Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on June 4, 2020.

@TheJester187 - I wouldn't be so sure. There are truly fanboys that butthurt that they honestly believe such exclamations are warranted. It's so silly to me, like who the [frick] takes movies that seriously? Movies really aren't that important, just have fun with them. Who freaking cares if it ends up being a crummy movie. It's just movies. I watch every comic book movie and hope for the best, hope for a good time.

@PTM - yuuup, and i dunno if it’s just short memory or people are that young and entitled, but throughout the 2000s we languished through some garbage superhero movies to get to the good stuff. Now a bunch of petulant children wanna bring down whole franchises over minutiae...

I'm feeling very iffy on this Wonder Woman maybe-not-a-sequel. I doubted Jenkins and crew on the first one, and nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong again, but it just feels a little off.

I like the "play" symbol on the WW84 poster. More interested in it because of my attachment to the characters than to Birds of Prey if I'm being honest.

I love the idea of Patty trying different tones with the Wonder Woman films. First one was more a serious adventure/drama film, but I love the idea of this one taking on a more Thor Ragnarok tone, basically more of this:

And also rumor has it this get up will appear...

and then Patty has said she wants the third of the trilogy to have a more contemporary setting and feel, so perhaps something more political thriller-ish with more social commentary

Booked my Shazam ticket for Friday night. I'm interested in the tone they seem to be going for in WW84. Also excited for The Joker trailer. I'm feeling a liiitle hopeful for DC movies at the moment.

Couldn't care less about birds of prey though. Whoever greenlit that movie can go [frick] himself.

@RageDriver2401 - this kind of attitude is why we didn’t get a massive influx of R rat ed cbms immediately after deadpool i will be looking forward to seeing margot robbie naked for the first time since wolf of wall st while yall cry into ypur keyboards

@TheCoonII - naked Robbie is probably the only reason it got greenlit.

I'd be on board with naked Robbie tho.

BiggestvQuote from Emmerich at WonderCon:

“diverse range of films of different types and genres”

That tells me to u will never know what your going to get wothca DC Film and certain fans better clear their ****ing Brains and start to accept that one film will be a Romantic Comedy and the next might be a R Rated Gangster Film then followed by a G Rated Family Film.

It’s risky...it will fluctuate criticsl and financial responses. I love it.

The no formuLa, formuLa. Big Swings. With chances for epic hits and collasual bombs!

Bring it!

They make no bones about it being Harley's movie. Her name is 3x larger than the rest of the words and the words Birds of Prey aren't nearly as bold as the rest. It's truly sad.

I always liked Birds of Prey. And Robbie's Quinn. All that hate over there not being a good recent superman or batman should be redirected toward Snyder and to a much greater degree toward Goyer.
