Sony Pictures has released a new international poster for the upcoming
Bloodshot movie, which was developed as the first of several Valiant Comics adaptations.
The one-sheet features the same shot of Vin Diesel's titular antihero from the recently released IMAX poster, but here he's joined by supporting cast members Sam Heughan (
Outlander, The Spy Who Dumped Me), Guy Pearce (
The Proposition, Iron Man 3), and Eiza Gonzalez (
Baby Driver, Alita: Battle Angel), who also gets her own promo image.
The R-rated project was set-up as the first film in a five-picture deal between Beverly Hills/Beijing-based DMG and Valiant Entertainment, with
Harbinger expected to follow at some point if
Bloodshot is a success.
Neal Moritz will produce, while Blur Studios' Dave Wilson is on board as director.
After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought
