IRON MAN 3 Actor Guy Pearce Is Reportedly In Talks To Replace Michael Sheen In BLOODSHOT
Filming for Sony's Bloodshot movie has just started, but there are still some casting issues that need to be worked out, as the filmmakers begin negotiations to replace actor Michael Sheen with Guy Pearce.
Sony's live-action adaptation of the Valiant's Bloodshot comic recently started production, but the film's roster of actors is currently undergoing a pretty big change.
Apparently, Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) was forced to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts, and now the studio is working quickly to find a replacement. And according to Variety, this search has led the filmmakers to actor Guy Pearce.
The Iron Man 3 star is still in negotiations, but if he does sign on to the film, he will replace Michael Sheen as Dr. Emil Harting, the genius responsible for the technology that gives Vin Diesel's titular hero his abilities.
Dave Wilson, who is mostly known for his VFX work, will direct Bloodshot, which has a script by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) and is currently set to release on February 21, 2020
