10 "Iconic" Moments in Comic Book Movie History

Brutal . . Spider-Man clip isn't even from the movies. Just an old teaser.

I still don't like Burton's catwoman or penguin (arkham city best bepictions yet)
Shadow and robocop don't belong anywhere close to the word epic
Blade scene was cool opening to the franchise but wasn't the defining moment
Joker scene should've been the whole prelude
Batman begins scene was ok but again not the defining moment of franchise
The first superman scene was nearly pointless and outdated
Superman trailer was very cool and memorable
I thought the crow was too emo a character (never liked the movie only watched it for Bruce's son
Hell boy was a good choice for defining moment and meaning to character

I liked the intro about the over-use of the terms "epic" and "iconic". and how fanboys can be be in love with something simply because it exists.

Its the reason I felt this summer's crop of superhero movies slightly disappointed, and why my expectations are tempered for Avengers. I don't automatically think it will be the best thing ever, simply because its happening. It sort of needs to be better than good. A fun romp won't cut it.

As for this video, I appreciate it, but I don't think "iconic" (..of great meaning and adoration) fits many of these at all.

Not Hellboy, which is simply an introduction of the character.
Not Blade, which is simply an introduction of the character.
Not Catwoman, a great scene which may define the character, but in no way is "iconic" in the scope of the picture.
Not RoboCop. First, its not a comic-book movie. Second, its just a standard burglar-stopping scene. It bares no weight on the overall message of the film or the character. It might as well have been part of a "cleaning up the streets" montage.

I like The Shadow. Not "iconic" in the sense of a memorable and beloved scene (its a forgettable movie) but for who the character is, and what the movie's about, its aces.

The Crow also works. A complete visual feast, as Dead-Draven prepares to wreak his vengeance. This (outside of the flaming bird logo) is the most iconic scene in the movie.

Spiderman I can give some leeway to. It was an awesome teaser, and seeing the criminal helicopter caught in a giant web is a fantastic "iconic" image of what Spider-Man in all about: stopping crime in the great city of NY.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are the two best examples here, as both scenes convey who the character is, as well as play at emotionally high levels for the viewer. (Joker's intro is essentially the entire film's mission statement, and Batman's declaration in "Begins" is the 'Cash-In' scene of the entire movie.)

The Superman trailer at #1 is perfect, though.
