Thanos arrives through a portal along with his "children" and a small platoon of brain washed warriors from Asgard...

Captain America instantly starts giving directives over the radio...

"Captain Marvel, Iron man, War Machine, Falcon... I want you 4 to sweep the place, create a perimeter and not let anyone past you...

Black Panther, Hawkeye and Beast... man the highest posts and call out attack and defense patterns...

Professor X, I know you can already read what I am about to say, please relay the message to everyone available within you're reach... maybe even call Magneto in...we're going to need all the help we can get!

and Hulk...SMASH anything thats bigger than the both of you!"

"Seriously, you think YMCA is the best song you've heard?
No, "STAR-LORD", I meant, with all the dancing around you do, you might as well jam to it!

Rocket to Gamora : "Is it just me or do these two feel like they're related?
I mean sure, one is a human SPIDER and the other is a sorry excuse for a human, but the resemblance in their stupidity is uncanny!"
And who's this colorful guy with the star spangled shield think he is to tell everyone what to do!?
Iron man [over radio]: You're just a sorry excuse for a rat...BOOM KA-BOOM[missles in the bg]... I mean racoon...or whatever you are...
Rocket: Hey! What is it with everyone calling me that!?
Gamora: Calm down Rocket...Thanos has finally arrived...its time to put Widows plan into action
Drax: I shall smash his body till Death do US apart!!!

Widow: You can have the marriage vows once we've apprehended him... I'll need you guys to create a distraction for me while Quicksilver and Scarlet witch get me inside Thanos ship...once inside, me, wasp and Antman will try to disarm its defenses and hopefully, we can do something about Thanos' glove!

Drax: How dare you suggest I bethrone him!?
Groot: I am groot...

Wolverine: Whatever the tree just said bub, I don't know about you captain... but Im gonna give this Thanos guy a real run for his guts once I get to him!

HOLD UP!

Firstly, please excuse my writing skills.
It's my first time doing this. But if you guys got the point, well and good.

Secondly, how many of you would sell your blood to see all the above happen on the big screen with all those characters, all at once?

If the numbers are right, Im sure at least 50million fans, easily?

My point exactly.

As a old fan of Marvel comics and most of its properties, like many of you, I too have had dreams about seeing the above happen on the big screen. Even if we only got about 15 mins worth of intermingled banter between all the characters, it would be well worth it.

But is it REALLY possible on the big screen?

Aside from the difficulties involved in scripting such a beautiful endeavor, the most difficult part would be giving every character enough time on screen to them justice.
Heck, I reckon a huge amount of the budget would probably go JUST in making a VFX scenario involving all those characters walking into the same frame.
Even watching all this in an animated cartoon would be difficult to execute, but not as much as its movie counter-part.

But is it REALLY possible on the big screen?

Some of the actors who have played these characters on screen, have stated that if such a thing could happen, it would be the most amazing thing ever, considering THE FANS would get what they've always wanted. And if the studios can get their heads together and make it happen, they too will be satisfied with all the returns they will get.

But is it REALLY possible?

The sad truth is...

No.

Here is why.

- It's not the source material or scripting that can be the issue. With the collaborative minds of Kevin Fiege, Joss Whedon and James Gunn, is there any fan out there who will disagree?
Production may take upto 1 year, at the very least, but can they make it happen?
YES

- At least 10 - 20 different VFX studios will need to be hired to get the effects done right, not counting all the time [2-3 years] that will go into making such a movie from start to finish. Do the fans have patience for such a movie?
YES

- The studios that own the rights of all the respective characters will probably need too put all their eggs in one single basket and pay through the roof for such a thing to happen. They will have to make clear cut deals on how much each studio gets and/or doesn't get.
Are the studios capable of it?
NO.

Thats where the problem lies. Not one of these studios will ever think about making such a movie happen, for the fans.

They won't hamper in to the fact that, if done right, the fans will pour in the cinemas and they will probably end up with 5 times the budget they would have to use for making such a movie.
No, my fellow mates... they will all think like every other studio executive who screws up these deals or comic book movies for the fans out there...

They will all wonder the same exact thing...

How can we stand to make the most PROFIT?

Sadly, this is the point where fans like me and the millions out there are forced to give up hope and look into the distance, slowly muttering the words "Man...I wish it were possible".

I think it's possible. Especially after "The Avengers" world wide success. If the studios where to collaborate and work with each other then i could see it happening other than that it's not that easy for the studio to acquire the rights to certain properties eg. Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, X-men.

I'm pretty sure there is going to be a team up between Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers in "Avengers 3" and possibly even more heroes to join in.

The truth is, there is no reason for it to happen.

I personally NEVER want the X-Men existing with the rest of the Marvel universe on film ...or really anywhere else either. The X-Men should ALWAYS be in their own universe where they are unique. It is okay to hate and fear this guy with powers because he got them genetically ...but it is okay to root for this guy because he got them by being bit by a radioactive Spider? I never understood that. I like the pocket universe that Singer is presenting currently.

@Mightyzeus
No, Avengers 3 will not be the team up with Guardians of the Galaxy because it forces the GOTG to take a back seat when the two teams should be on equal ground. It is basically forcing a point of view on the audience when Marvel should be neutral with their approach to the two teams and market them equally since GOTG killed so much at the box office. I do not get what people do not understand about this SIMPLE concept. That article about Batista signing on for multiple movies, including Avengers 3, comes from a questionable source (wrestling report). Wrestling journalists are known for reporting speculation as fact or concrete evidence. Plus, Marvel does not reveal WHAT movies a talent is contracted for, just how many. I believe the actor doesn't know until informed about it.

I am all for a team up or a huge Marvel X-over ...but they CANNOT be under the Avengers umbrella. X-overs will either be Marvel Universe or just the name of the movie. If it is Avengers team up, the two groups share the title.

@Objectivelybiased: .....but if you think of the X-men as an ALLEGORY for all of society's outcasts (i.e.: minorities), then you would see how they still fit in. In real life for example, there is no logical reasoning as to why any minority group (by race, religion, orientation or creed) with great abilities should be thought worse of than their majority counterparts, yet they are because of differences in appearance or in methodology. Furthermore, this is exactly why the X-men were created; as a means of creating a dialogue surrounding these very irrational thought processes. Hence, no it does not stand as a good reasoning as to why they ought be kept separate.

A better argument would be that FOX SUCKS, and that they have screwed up so much in their re-formatting of the X-men from the source material, that they would not fit in very well with the (mostly faithful) adaptations of the MCU.

Well the truth of the matter is no one saw how big the MCU would become, I am sure if they could see into the future they could have planned something out. Oh, wait if Marvel could see into the future they would have never sold the some the rights to FOX, Sony, or Universal.

@m0th3r We will absolutely have to disagree. Better yet, you are simply WRONG here. Reboot X-Men under Marvel Studios, so that they may take their rightful pkace in the MCU.

@Objectivelybiased, I think it's because mutants are supposedly the next evolution of mankind. Take Spiderman for example, he is a human being that got powers, wow wouldnt we all like to have powers?
But when you look at it from the mutant angle these people are born with powers and are heralded as the end of mankind (from a genetic standpoint) they are the superior species. Captain America is a man who got powers, he doesnt have the negative connotation of being born superior.
It makes sense that people would fear mutants, they pretty much show every human alive that they are an obsolete or soon to be obsolete race.
