Marvel Entertainment and Lucasfim have announced the addition of blockbuster artist Stuart Immonen (All-New X-Men, All-New Captain America) as the new series artist for Star Wars! Immonen joins series writer Jason Aaron, and you can get a first look at artwork right here.

Beginning this July with Star Wars #8, Stuart Immonen journeys to a galaxy far, far away for the continuing adventures of some of fiction’s most beloved characters! I like Immonen, but I'd be lying if I won't miss John Cassaday. Hopefully they keep Laura Martin for colors.

Oh my [frick]ing God! yes, yes, yes! Immonen is incredible, one of my absolute favourites. I'm not a big fan of John Cassaday, so I am so stoked for this.

There are no issues of All-New Cap solicited past March, so I think it ends before Secret Wars.

Nice work. He's got an old school look with the heavy outlines, and that almost Jim Lee-like shading... I haven't picked up a SW title in ages, but maybe I will if it looks like this.

That layout is rad.I read the first issue of the new series but none of the others - it was freaking awesome. Best Star Wars stuff for a long, long time...
