COMICS: Prepare To Read "I Am Groot!" A Lot; Talking Tree Gets Own Marvel Series
Following the surprise success of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy last year, Marvel Comics are continuing to capitalise on its success with yet another ongoing series featuring a member of the team. This time it's Groot, and you can find details about the creative team/artwork right here!
Avengers books have dominated Marvel sections of comic book stores everywhere since the release of The Avengers in 2012, and now the Guardians of the Galaxy are following suit. Groot is the latest, with a new monthly series set to launch this July. According to Mashable, newcomers Jeff Loveness and Brian Kesinger will team up for the series. Loveness has written for Jimmy Kimmel Live! recently penned a team-up between Captain America, Spider-Man, and the Inhumans. Kesinger is a former Disney Animation artist.
