It’s all-out war between the two biggest factions in the Marvel Universe! The toughest, craziest and most popular Marvel heroes are going to THROW DOWN on the surface of Battleworld. Featuring the likes of Cyclops, Hawkeye, Magik, Black Widow, Wolverine, Captain America and many, many more. They’re all here – just shorter!

“I just like the idea of these two groups being at odds with each other at all times,” says Skottie Young in an interview with Marvel.com. “It’s like when you and your friends had a club house and your rivals had one a few streets over. It’s all about who’s crew is the best, except the kids in my story shoot eye lasers and can summon demons from Limbo.”

This June, Skottie Young brings out the big guns for the series fans have been waiting for! Don’t miss one moment of the pulse-pounding action when GIANT-SIZE LITTLE MARVEL: AVX #1 takes one giant-size leap into comic shop and digital devices this June!

I think this artist should go draw peanuts because that seems to be what they think they are drawing images for.

scottie's work actually really reminds me of a series of drawings I did awhile back of toonishly short comedic superheros...if I can find them i'll post em

Oh give me a break! What's NOT to love about this? It's fun!
And not to worry, soon enough they're still going to produce another mega-crossover Event that'll have all the real heroes fighting each other.

I read the rocket raccoon book and honestly I don't read it for the artwork. It's act a decent read but I can't stand his art. It's way to cartoonish.

Is this made by the same artist who does Calvin and Hobbes?

tbh, i like these "little kid" varients of Marvel heroes. I love every Varient cover that uses them so to me I like this as a quick little secret wars series. Also, if this WERE to be made into a cartoon, if done right, it would be awesome as a toold to introduce super youngins into the world of Marvel. Imo though it would serve better as a animated movie along the lines of pixar style. Done by Marvel Studios but as a stand alone (as in NOT connected to the MCU).

@Melkaticox - i know that. I just dont know if I like it...i'd like to see him draw adults. The art looks fantastic, just a little too cartoonish for my taste. I just have really mixed feelings about it.

@dethpillow Isn't he doing Rocket Raccoon and all the Oz adaptations?

I believe these are also Skottie Young. It's not that he can't draw stuff besides babies. I think Marvel just keeps asking him to do these baby covers.

Marvel: "So let's get this straight we have a gigantic cosmic event made up of smaller events which we're using to completely destroy and rebuild the marvel universe. No more seperated 616 and ultimate we're wiping um out and smashing them in a blender all those massive events we've done we're smashing them together too; some of our best storylines and some of our meh storylines. When we're finished we're going to have a completely new marvel universe!"

Grave: Ok...right right I see what your going for, ambitious probably more ambitious then the whole DC Flashpoint event since they couldn't even agree on what they wanted after they overhauled everything.

Marvel: "And their planning to do it again soon cause their not happy let's not forget that"

Grave: Right right...yeah umm...where does the LITTLE A v X come into play then? Cause as serious reality altering events go it's a little...well no not little; it's weak and terrible.

Marvel: "What...what're you saying?"

Grave: ....WHAT THE HELL IS THE BLOODY POINT OF THIS TITLE!!!!

@ScionStorm - ok yea thats more like it. I just dont know if i like the "kids" thing. in the panels in the article its confusing cuz you can tell he's a damn good artist, but not sure why they keep doing the "kids" stuff. ya know? it seems to take away from the great drawing he can do.

All I know is that when I asked two different comic shop owners in my area, they both said that the SKOTTIE YOUNG variant covers get picked up faster than the other variants AND the regular covers.

Might be . . . that people prefer a little fun in their comic book covers.
Might be . . . that people SAY they like the constant barrage of static, boring, "posed" movie poster style covers we've be stuck with the past 10 years, YET REALLY prefer a little more originality.
