Hello, i am Mickeus (on a new account). From the moment i joined this awesome site, i started a series named Mickeus' Ideal DC Cinematic Universe. Now, most of you think that this is a response to the failure that is the DCEU, right? Partially, but i now this is just a fan's small fantasy but if things had gone in a similar route like in my articles, then DC could have given Marvel a run for their money but the current DCEU is an abomination. Suicide Squad was the last nail in the coffin, but let's head to my ideas.

I'm gonna give out outlines, fan made photos and plots, casts and all that jazz here, so read up.

B A T M A N T H E   D A R K   K N I G H T

(Photo i made, took about 30 minutes, it isn't the best, but it is what i managed and i think it turned out pretty good)

The DC Cinematic Universe needs to start off with a bang, or..a bat. Batman is DC's most popular and (in my opinion) best character and with his box office appeal and popularity, starting off with a solo Batman film is a no-brainer. The cast will be like this (my choices).

  • Josh Brolin - Batman/Bruce Wayne
  • Joseph Gilgun - The Joker
  • Amanda Seyfried - Harley Quinn
  • Carla Gugino - Catwoman/Selina Kyle
  • Patrick Stewart - Alfred Pennyworth
  • Logan Lerman - Tim Drake/Robin
  • Jena Malone - Batgirl/Barbara Gordon
  • Matt Dillon - Two Face/Harvey Dent
  • Sharlto Copley - Scarecrow
  • David Tennant - The Riddler
  • Bryan Cranston - Jim Gordon
  • Idris Elba - Killer Croc (Cameo)
  • Jon Hamm - Superman/Clark Kent (Post)
  • Alexandra Daddario - Vicky Vale (Short)

I was gonna include an outline, but i am writing one and haven't finished it, so bear with me and i'll update it later).

SUPERMAN MAN OF STEEL

After introducing the gothic and Batman-y side of the universe, let's move to Superman! After teased in the after-credits, Superman goes to Metropolis to protect Metropolis, but when an enemy of his planet reaches him, he has too face the ultimate challenge.
  • Superman - Jon Hamm
  • Lois Lane - Cobie Smudlers
  • Lex Luthor - Mark Strong
  • Jimmy Olsen - Seth Green
  • Supergirl - Kate Mara
  • Brainiac - Ian McShane
  • Jor-El - Graham McTavish
  • Wonder Woman - Jaime Alexander (Post Cameo)

WONDER WOMAN

Wonder Woman is about Diana's journey from her island to the land of men and the fight to protect Themyscira, when english army forces attack the island and the God Of War (Ares) has run to terrorize humans. Diana must face him and learn to protect.
  • Jaime Alexander - Wonder Woman
  • Scott Eastwood - Steve Trevor
  • Hippolyta - Lena Heady
  • Artemis - Eva Green
  • Zeus - Sean Bean
  • Ares - Kevin Durand

Yes, that's what we need. Old Batman, Old Superman, and a ton of miscasts

@DCMediaverse - Hamm And Brolin are both around Afflecks age. They're not really that old all things considered

MileHighRonin - 8/7/2016, 12:10 PM
@SpittingKrypton - I don't get why people want older Batman. I understand having him seasoned but not on the decline. Have him in when he is barely reaching his prime.

@MileHighRonin - I think people are just tired of like Year one Batman, and him just getting started. Having him middle of his career like your saying doesnt do a lot for story (Early years has him inexperienced, Older years has him more brutal and sadistic) The middle years he's Just himself so idk. Im a guy who hates Red Hood and Hush so my taste seems to be different

@MileHighRonin - Id like to cast an older actor for his mid-life years. For the World's Greatest Detective style
MileHighRonin
MileHighRonin - 8/7/2016, 4:12 PM
@SpittingKrypton - I disagree, a film in his prime would be an epic action flick. Have it somewhat like Arkham Origins. Deathstroke, Deadshot and a few others to show his superiority.
TheAccuser
TheAccuser - 8/7/2016, 6:24 PM
@MileHighRonin - Well Arkham Origins is Batman's second year as being Batman. So. Idk myabe you just meant the villians?
Althought imo having Deathstroke And Deadshot in the same film seems redundant

@MileHighRonin -

I was begging for philip winchester as Batman. Been around in the shadows for 8 or so years but still has plenty more to go
MileHighRonin
MileHighRonin - 8/7/2016, 10:36 PM
@SpittingKrypton - I ment in story, with him facing off against numerous assassins.

@MileHighRonin - Ya id love that.

@SpittingKrypton - Who would you cast as Talia and Ra's in your universe?
TheAccuser
TheAccuser - 8/9/2016, 8:47 AM
@MileHighRonin - Ra's either Ben Kingsey or Ralph Fiennes. Talia i dont really Know. Im most deadset on most the fan-Casts I do but Talia is one i never can seem to get right. Ralph and ben though are subject to change. I gotta watch more movies lol
MileHighRonin
MileHighRonin - 8/9/2016, 3:06 PM
@SpittingKrypton - Those are good picks.

Talia is tough to cast, she has to have the look but also do action.

TheAccuser - 8/9/2016, 5:39 PM
@MileHighRonin - Ya, Thanks Man, Gemma Arterton comes to mind but idk How well she could pull it off havent seen her in too many things.

What is with everyone wanting old Batman and old Superman? Are you guys just that impatient about having Justice League?
TheAccuser
TheAccuser - 8/7/2016, 12:09 PM
@MileHighRonin - Whenever i think of DC i always think of Alex Ross. And Alex Ross made them older. Thats my personal reason

Mark Strong is a fine pick for Luthor but I feel people only go to him because he's bald.

In my opinion (if he would do it) Joaquin Phoenix is the best possible choice. The man can do intensity like no other.

Nahh man...

This cast wouldn't last four years.

You gotta get a cast that is much, much younger. Despite how good of a cast they are.

Superman has to be young, like in his mid-20s. Because,in the comics, he barely ages. Alex Ross's Superman is good, but his character wouldn't be interesting on film since he's too perfect; there's no character development which = uninteresting. So it would be good to get a Superman that is reminiscent to Morrison's Action Comics run, Yang's Before Truth or Busiek's Secret Identity. Those stories are interesting imo, and add much to character growth. Something that is needed in these DC movies.

Imo, Ian Harding would be good for the role. He just needs to bulk up (like really, really bulk up). He's got acting range as proven in Addiction, so his range is not only comedy. Think Chris Evans back in the day when he was casted as Cap.

Batman can be grizzled up and old. Like kind of old, but not too old. Brolin is Thanos rn, plus, let's just say he's already had his run for DC Comics. Batman to me, would either have to be on his prime (Luke Evans or Richard Armitage would be fine), or be this grizzled up veteran boxer that's looking to get back in the game (Anson Mount, Affleck)

Good pick for WW, too bad she's in Thor. Which would make this casting highly unlikely.

Also, if you want to start off with a bang. Wouldn't Supes make much more sense to kick off the DC Universe, since he is the leader of the Justice League. Plus his bangs are bigger than Batsy's.

Just my opinion ...

@PrinceAwesome - Also, if Alex Ross Superman is what you're looking for. I believe that Benjamin Walker would be better than Hamm.

He's younger, Southern, American. Plus, he looks kinda like Reeves.

I would still pick Harding over Walker, but alternatives are always nice.

Personally, I think I would have liked DC's original idea of just starting with JL and then branching into solo movies.

@DCMickeus

Kind of enjoyed the fancast, it makes sense.

Will now always get confused between you and @Mickeus as you have similar usernames.
