BATMAN/DEADPOOL #1 Preview Reveals First Look At More Mighty Marvel/DC Team-ups In Next Crossover Special

DC Comics has shared a peek inside November's Batman/Deadpool #1, revealing a first look at the next chapter in the Dark Knight's unlikely team-up with Marvel's Merc with a Mouth.

Additional crossovers will play out in the comic's backup stories, with Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson teaming up with Hayden Sherman for a magical Constantine/Doctor Strange tale.

Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo bring us an epic Nightwing/Dick Grayson and Laura Kinney/Wolverine story. Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner smash Harley Quinn and the Hulk together. And finally, G. Willow Wilson and Denys Cowan tell an electrifying Static and Ms. Marvel yarn.

What happens when the World's Greatest Detective meets the Merc with a Mouth? Reality folds in on itself. Archetypes collide. Darkseid is. And, somewhere between Apokolips and Earth-TRN666, a sentient street named Danny hums show tunes about a crusading cape.

Batman/Deadpool #1 isn't just a comic book crossover between iconic publishers; it's a metaphysical car crash between two storytelling philosophies. One character broods in the shadows of trauma and justice. The other cartwheels through chaos, breaking the fourth wall and occasionally the laws of physics.

Together, they're forced to confront a threat that doesn't just endanger their worlds—it questions their very existence as fictional constructs.

With a main story by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora, Batman/Deadpool #1 launches a reality-bending saga that's equal parts cosmic horror, slapstick noir, and metafictional therapy session. According to DC Comics, "It's the kind of comic book that knows it's a comic book, revels in being a comic book, weaponizes its comic bookiness—and dares you to keep reading anyway!"

It was recently confirmed that the crossovers will continue in 2026. DC is set to publish two facsimile editions in January and February: a Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1 and DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1.

Then, in March and April, the two companies will publish two new crossover comic books — Superman/Spider-Man #1 (DC) and Spider-Man/Superman #1 (Marvel). It's been said that further details on creative teams, storylines, and variant covers for both comics will be revealed by DC and Marvel Comics in the coming months.

Love Marvel/DC crossovers, but some of these matchups are so bleh. Why go with Ms Marvel/Static vs something like Hal Jordan/Thor, Dr Fate/Scarlet Witch, or Flash/Magneto (with a quicksilver appearance)?

@Odekahn - Or Superman/Thor!

And I just read Batman and Deadpool last month as a 1 shot. I had no idea there was another one coming out. How about Batman/Wolverine (Logan)

I’m excited, especially for the Hulk/Harley story, given Amanda Conner’s my second-favorite artist in the business.
