This Halloween, two of DC's leading ladies will meet for the first time in the pages of the New 52. The Talon returns to take revenge in Batgirl Annual #1, and Barbara may need Catwoman's help to take her down. Can they trust each other? Find out next Wednesday..

Editor Brian Cunningham on Wijaya and Sampere’s unique artwork..

“BATGIRL ANNUAL #1 tells the tale of Batgirl’s first meeting with Catwoman and how they are somewhat like oil and water. I can’t say enough great things about Admira Wijaya and Daniel Sampere’s art. Their unique approach makes this Annual look very special, and you have not heard the last of these guys, I can assure you of that.”

Even as a fan of DC, I can't get excited for this. Barbara Gordon was better as Orcale.

I agree. Oracale was a great character and added something a bit different to the 'Bat-Family'.

However, reading Snyder's Batman, I haven't felt myself missing Oracle too much

I liked the complexity of Oracle. I felt that she was more important to Batman as Oracle rather than as Batgirl. Bring back Cassandra Cain to cripple her and take the name back!

They can't even respect her enough with a decent artist? They remove all the best aspects of her and now THIS crap? Even THEY don't give a damn. Batman is about the only reason to read anything from DC anymore.

Are we sure that isn't Owl-girl or someone else? No bueno.
