Wonderful Book. A beautiful look at the DC characters in the 1950s.

Is this the continuation of the movie?

@vinomonster

No, y'see, the book came out before the movie, so they're just re-releasing the book the movie was based off of but as a deluxe version.

@Superior
Thank you, sir.

And speaking of the movie, I found it really underwhelming. I don't love the book (I think it's decent) but the animated adaption just felt disjointed and unsatisfying, even from the first 15 minutes.

No problem, man. And I thought the movie was a bit underwhelming too.

Anybody know if this is hardcover, paperback, oversized, or what? I have the original two TPBs; I wouldn't mind an upgrade.

I feel bad for anyone who bought that ginormous Absolute Edition but need this for the new content.

Oh, and I agree about the movie being underwhelming. The 70-minute running time mandate weakens so many adaptations. Excellent voice casting, though. Everybody was perfect.

seconded......the enforced time constraint that DC puts on their animated movies really hurt this.......... I disagree with some comments that he movie wasn't good, I think it was.......but without more time? it was in a story equivalent of a straight jacket that prevented it from being great to epic.
