I haven't been able to pick up this issue yet, but I really hope you are right. Nightwing is a great character who doesn't deserve death. I mean c'mon, Bruce just lost his SON, this killing off sidekicks is starting to get a little bit redundant

"Spoiler" would help.

I love Robin. My favorite 2 versions were Grayson as Tim. Dick was better as Nightwing and I wished DC kept him as Batman. The problem with DC is that they're scared to let the characters grow past a certain point. He should have stayed as Batman and when Bruce came back he should have been Batman Beyond.

Not liking the updated version of Grayson's Robin costume. And I'm not liking how they made him younger "again". They did the same thing with Tim. They changed his costume to that stupid red version and made him younger in prep school. Then they didn't know what to do with him so he became the Red Robin and looked like a 1/2 way point between Robin and Batman. At least his new costume looks cool with the wings.

It's probably Grayson dies and so does Nightwing and he comes back as just that new Bat character.

Nightwing wont stay dead. Lex killed him to deactivate the bomb, but next issue I bet anything they give him CPR to revive him since the bomb is now de-activated.
But after that something must still happen to him since they are cancelling his book. Maybe he takes a sabbatical since everyone knows his identity

...a character NOT dying would be a shock.

I can't believe anyone can even muster up any kind of emotion with regard to the prospect of a character dying anymore. They'll be back in a year anyway.

He's technically speaking "dead," but instead of running the mouth and jumping to conclusions look at the context of the story. He'll be back. And it's clear that he's going to keeping low after all of this is over.

Geoff Johns already confirmed ages ago that Nightwing not going to die, but he is going through a big change obviously. Go read Forever Evil and you'll understand..

Besides, if he was officially dead it'd be all over the media like with Damian.

*Forever evil spoilers from the latest issue:* (though not more than this article lol: In the last issue of forever evil Lex took it upon himself to stop nightwing's heart to stop the bomb, but kept trying to explain nightwing's condition to batman between batman's vengeful punches to lex's face. There's definitely something more to nightwing's status that a simple death. Any drug that could stop your heart for a brief moment would work. They just need to remove the bomb before nightwing regains heart function. At least that's where I see that comic going with it for plot reasons. Nothing is ever that simple when it comes to the two richest men in DC one being the smartest man alive, the other being the best detective.

Alright cool. It's nice to know that he's not going to be dead for very long. It just pisses me off that that got spoiled for me. Josh made it seem like he is officially dead, with no warning. I'm going to have to not be one this site for a couple weeks after Forever Evil #7 comes out. Lol.

I only read Batman cos it occasionally crosses over with Nightwing, hope he doesn't die, though the Harper Nightwing costume, if genuine, does look cool.

Did anyone actually read forever evil *SPOILER ALERT* because dick didn't really die he was saved by lex but lex couldn't tell batman because batman started beating him up for killing dick lol batman needs to learn to listen lol
