COMICS: Marvel Artist Olivier Coipel Is The New Cover Artist For BATMAN And His Caped Crusader Looks Amazing
Best known for his Marvel work, it's now been revealed that Olivier Coipel (The Amazing Spider-Man) is making the leap to DC Comics as the new cover artist for flagship title Batman. Check it out...
Olivier Coipel is best known for working on titles like The Amazing Spider-Man, Thor, and Siege but he's now making the leap to DC Comics as the cover artist for Tom King's Batman. It remains to be seen when and if he'll start doing interiors for the company but it would be incredible to see him working on titles like this one and Justice League as it would be such a departure from his previous Marvel work.
Coipel's first cover for the series can be seen below and it paints a very impressive picture of the Dark Knight looming over Gotham City. This is sure to be the first of many to come and not a bad start at all.
Batman is perhaps DC's biggest (and best with King writing) titles so this is a good start for Coipel and it will be fun to see just how much he mixes things up with the Caped Crusader moving forward now.
What do you guys think of the cover? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts down below.
