Yea, Psycho Pirate always was a little weak. Totally deserved having Black Adam's fist shoved through his face!

But his New design is awesome. Too bad rbfn04's too busy playing with Chris Reeve's red undies to care.

Can't wait to see a non-Lobdell Action comics book, hoping that the writer who takes over the Superman comic after him knows how to do the character right and come up with better stories and villains. At least Greg Pak will be a step up hopefully and maybe someone else who gets Superman and is a very talented writer. I kind of "meh" on Superman unchained it hasn't been as good as Scot Snyder's Batman.

I'm hoping for the best though.... Superman's my favorite superhero and I'm tired of being disappointed.

I like the new design of the Psycho-Pirate. His old incarnation was pretty whiney, considering the power he could wield. I DID love how Black Adam dealt with him back in the day. That was a great story.

@ALmight Yeah, because a dude called the Mad Hatter, the Riddler, Killer Croc or the Joker just sounds sooo epic...

PS. that's not his hair, it's a mask dude. And way better than the one he used to have.

Nice update.

And Psycho pirate is bad ass. Go read Crisis on infinite earths, he's great in there.

This is actually Lobdell and Kirkham's last issue. Starting with Issue 25, the team that will handle Action Comics is Greg Pak and A-A-Ron Kuder. Here's the cover of # 25.

@Getsua you are funny dude. Considering you think this is a good redesign... 90s rehash bullshit

YEAH! You made new costumes (some radically different); you made new origin stories (some radically different); it's time to chuck all those old villains to make room for new ones (because we all know that you have limited shelf space and can't store all those over-complicated, baggage-bearing bad guy stories). Besides, it's a lot harder to create some new legit villain than to just tweak some old useless bad guy by giving him a "cool" new costume. AND you also HAVE to keep in mind with each redesign how it's going to look on TV (or hopefully in a movie).

"Psi-War" - wasn't that a crappy 90s X-Men plot? And "The Twenty" sounds just like "The Twelve", another crappy 90s X-Men plot. Oh well, at least Lobdell isn't ripping off his own crappy 90s X-Men plots - heaven forbid we see a DC version of Onslaught or Operation Zero Tolerance.

Another crap Superman title. This 52 reboot should happened 10 years ago, now they don't know what in the hell they're doing.
