Rorschach seems to be having the last laugh in a brutal encounter with the Joker on a stunning new variant cover for Doomsday Clock #7.

Drawn by artist Gary Frank and colored by Brad Anderson, this cover definitely reminds us that Rorschach has no time for funny business. Not only is the Clown Prince of Crime featured on the cover, but it looks like Batman himself is standing on the tower at the top of the page.

Take a look:

Frank released a black and white version of the cover the day before, which is pretty awesome in its own right.

Following the events of DC Rebirth and the Batman/Flash crossover The ButtonDoomsday Clock combines the world of the Watchmen with familiar characters from the DC Universe. The 12-part series is being written by DC creative chief Geoff Johns.

@Doomsday8888 - I bet the Joker is just wishing Batman would come save his ass.

You know, that's kind of what he did when they did a crossover with Marvel.
In that case he was fighting against the Punisher!

@WruceBayne - Well he's kinda the main character right now and they reveal more about him piece by piece. All we know his first name is Reggie and he is black.

Jeez, it's been like three months since the last issue came out. Can we get #4 before we see covers, let alone variants, for #7?

@dracula - Regarding Thunderbolt - the joke's on DC. They don't own the rights to the character. I wonder if they got stung after they published the mini-series back in the Eighties?

@Tighelander - why dont they own thunderbolt, didnt they buy all the Charlton comic heroes

Moore has earned the right to pat himself on the back, but he reminds me of those stereotypical over weight guys at the comic shop who think they're at the same level as Neil deGrasse Tyson.

"Hey rorschach, wanna hear a joke--"

Rorscach begins to beat the living shit out of him. Rorschach doesn't [frick] around.

Alan Moore became famous from rewriting the characters of other authors. For him to bitch about writers using the Watchmen characters is hypocritical.

I LOVE the art, Im really enjoying the seies so far...BUT that aint Rorschach. Until Kovaks returns this really doesnt mean anything. Reggie is cool and all and should get a new name, but he's just not Rorshcach. The thrill and potential of Rorshach meeting Batman or Joker is not met until it's Kovacs.
