BEST BOOK IN THE 52! If you're not reading it, you're missing out.

Also, Cliff Chiang has been off the book for a while, he'll be back next issue I believe.

Chiang only drew the cover.

What planet are you on? This story line is dragging on FOREVER! The story is going nowhere. Where's Steve Trevor, Cheetah, Dr. Psycho, Etta Candy? Give me some characters that I WANT to care about. Give me some villains with some staying power. Where's Diana Prince? The ONLY character that's worth anything in the WW comic is Wonder Woman - everyone else is a bunch of nobodies. The book itself is too niche, which causes it to feel detached.

I disagree with you, I think Steve Trevor as long out lasted his usefulness, as for Cheetah she'll be back she was in justice League, and as for Dr. Psycho I believe he is making his way into the pages of one of the Super Books. The problem with Wonder Woman past is that she didn't have a strong supporting cast (aside from Etta.. sorry Steve sucked.) and her Rogues gallery was alwys ery meh. This is coming from a life long Wonder Woman fan that is only 80 issues short of having everything except things not released.

What Azzerello has done is giving her a Villains gallery of not only memorable but long staying Villains but ones she doesn't have to hold back on. What he's doing is stopping her from becoming stale and boring like Superman has become.

So no, I ask what planet are you on "Nostalgica Nine?"

@ mykanmur - Yeah, cause Wonder Woman books were so enjoyable pre-52, right?

Also, where was Steve Trevor in the pre-52? No one cared, but now that he's back he's everyone's favorite character, huh?

BEST BOOK IN THE 52!

I said nothing about going BACK in time to how characters were interpreted back then. It sounds like some of you are stuck in the past.

My point is there is enough material to build from without having to create new characters "ALL of Ww's characters sucked, so let's give her new ones". That's a cop-out. I think the Steve Trevor character helps to ground Diana and expose her to a culture she's never been a part of - making her more relatable. I'm not looking to rehash what has come to past - Steve and Etta DID suck back in the day, but that doesn't mean they have to suck now. The same goes for her Rogues Gallery. How do we make Dr. Psycho, Dr. Cyber, Silver Swan, Baroness Von Gunther awesome villains in 2013? How do we make Steve and Etta relevant to the mythology?

It just seems that every time WW is redone, it's a drastic reboot that makes her less recognizable - leaving people with nothing to latch on to for an icon. I'm all for a fresh take, but not to the degree that the character's no longer enjoyable.

Best book? That's relatively speaking. I'm committed to it but I see room for improvement.
