Is this another of DC's answer to Marvel's Ultimate universe? I haven't played the game, but it looks pretty cool.

why do they go to such extremes to make batman and supermans costumes look as ridiculous as possible?

This is not the best drawn comic or the best written comic or even any sort of original idea, but man oh man, this has been my favorite comic book for over a year now.
This week took it to a new level. Bullock and Gordon team up to plot against Superman. I hope they get killed in spectacular ways.
