DC is the KING of TV (Among many other things) so let's take a look at their projects and see what can happen to them in the future.
This is what I wrote in the original Article of the pipeline Regarding the TV slate:
-Arrow (Ongoing, Confirmed to have a deal for 6 seasons with CW)
-The Flash (Upcoming, Confirmed for 1 full season CW)
-Gotham (Upcoming, Confirmed for 1 full season FOX & Netflix deal)
-Constantine (Upcoming, Confirmed for 1 full season NBC)
-iZombie (Upcoming, Confirmed CW)
-Hourman (In Development by CW)
-Teen Titans Live Action Series ( In Development by TNT)
-Supergirl (In Development by CBS)
-Lucifer (In Development by Fox)
-DMZ ( In Development by Syfy)
-Preacher ( In Development by AMC)
-Scalped ( In Development by WGN America)
-Suicide Squad Series/Mini Series (Rumored)
-Beware The Batman (Ongoing, Animated)
-Teen Titan Go (Ongoing, Animated)
Now let's clear the way for the ones that WON'T be here in 2015
Beware the Batman
Got cancelled due to low ratings ( I think?) so I wonder what CN & DC will push out to replace it, maybe a Superman series? In my opinion what we should get is a 3 year deal to have a Batman & Superman team up animated series that for year one sees them work alone until the end where they fight, year 2 they team up and year 3 they add the cast of the big screen JL as cameo's each ep.
Hourman
Sadly Hourman is stuck in hell, with CW not liking any scripts for the show, it won't go anywhere.
Suicide Squad Series/Mini Series
Saddly the movie killed this brilliant and awesome could be of my dreams.
Now onto the in development ones
DMZ
We haven't heard much from this and production on the pilot began in may, some of the admins should try and find something out.
Preacher
the most advanced of the in development series, this series is set to debut in fall 2015, I hope they put it in a good time slot maybe PRE-TWD? so they can have a hit on their hands.
Scalped, Supergirl Titans, Lucifer
We have not heard anything from these 3 whom are in development but then again it's way to early for anything to be concrete.
Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Gotham
Each one of these series has found a place, al but Constantine have secured ratings as John faces off vs baseball, so once that is over I hope we see him on 5. at least, but Gotham sits at a cool 6. Flash on a huge (for the CW) 4. Arrow goes back & forth from 2-3 but its safe to say that for now these series are doing great, Constantine NEEDS a better time slot.
iZombie
the ugly duck of the DC tv multiverse, as fans rave over Gotham, Arrow & Flash linking to Titans, Constantine setting up JLD, Supergirl linking to MOS-Verse among other shows, iZombie looks to be in real trouble, it does not help that they come from the VERTIGO Imprint which I am not sure on how their promotional record is. I will give the show a watch but I DO NOT dream of it passing 2. in it's debut.
Teen Titans GO!
This series is awesome, for kids it's funny, for adults it's funny, filled with easter eggs I really love this show and hope it keeps going as it really is a gateway for kids into comics done right to me. (cue the adults with no sense of humor talking crap about the show because they want the original show back)
The DC TV Multiverse sit's atop a few hit shows in 2014, my prediction is that by 2015 we could have a steady 5-7 DC tv shows taking up our week, which is great. safe to say their is DC TV for a LONG TIME to come, MARVEL NEEDS TO CATCH UP.
AND ON THAT NOTE, DCGUY OUT!
CUE THE COMMENTS!
