why is anyone surprised about the tough reaction from critics?

The critics been sharpening their knives and behaving distinctly unprofessionally towards bvs over the last two years. They are just making good on their promise.

I just thought i would head up a couple of bullshit things that are coming up

the first is why is anyone surprised that this movie is getting rained on by critics? Personally i loved this movie and i saw it with my wife and she loved it too, which is how i knew this movie would do well as she isnt a comic book person and tends to like things that go on to become succesful parts of main stream culture.

the reality is that the critics have been gunning for bvs for almost 18months. This is not a surprise. They havent been shy about it either but what are the reasons?is it simply a marvel bias? well the answer is a bit more complicated and i would say yes and No.

Critics hate comic book movies

Image result for hate comic book movies

1. A lot of professional critics hate comic book movies and also hate the mcu (shock horror) but they have been allowed to become so popular in modern culture that any critic that openly slates it is worried about being percieved as being out of touch. so they dont. Think of the racist company that has to let one or two black or latino people pass so as not to be seen as racist. SOme critics have referred to the genre as "cultural genocide" while most of them can see that the current mcu is slowing a bit and seems to be closing off they dont want any other studios picking up the baton and running with it. Thankfully Joe public is voting with his dollars. the danger however is that critics generally hate it when a movie they attack does well as it suggests they have little to no importance which ultimately affects their influence in the industry too. I expect critics to double down and really attack this movie in the coming weeks, as its continued success will be taken as a slap to the face and a bruising to the egos of the perception of critics whose idea of self worth and importance is inflated.

RIval studios

2. Rival studios- have played a part in this and im not neccesarily talking disney/ marvel (even though they have undoubtedly been involved in slinging mud) no im talking about people like paramount and sony who worry that the box office could become a 3 horse race between universal, disney and WB each year as a matter of fact the top studio last year was universal despite disney having avengers and starwars in the same year, it just goes to show how competitive it is at the box office. Universal has become the default studio of choice for people who want to show you can succeed outside of comic book movies. A lot of studios dont want the DCEU to get going. its why deadline and forbes (respected authories in the industry) reported rival studios where trying to low ball bvs but in reality there isnt a negative headline to be had as its going to set a new record for presummer releases.

the second thing i want to talk about is some of the bullshit reasons people have used to attack Batman v superman.

Image result for batman doesnt kill

1. SOme disney trolls have tried to suggest that batman kills- In this movie while batman is undoubtedly "tough" on the criminals he does not kill anyone, there are 4 areas people suggest that this might have happened
  • during the batmobile chase- Yes he shoots with his batmobile but there is nothing that says that any criminal was shot anywhere fatal or died. The batmobile has always had weapons thats not new and in this one the weapons are not used excessively.
  • During his fight where he rescues hostage  a guy tries to throw a grenade and is knocked over but instead of running away the guy tries to pick up the grenade and it blows up. In this situation not only is it that we dont see him die the reality is that he could have run away and simply saved himself but he didnt. thats like someone shooting themselves and blaming batman.
  • In that same fight where he clears the building a guy with a gun opens fire and batman attempts to disarm him but instead of letting go he keeps firing and it hits his criminal buddies, no suggestion to say those people are dead but if anyone died its due to the criminal not batman
  • Lastly batman came close to killing superman- but he didnt no need to debate this.
im sure there will be a disney troll that will try and stretch the truth but i will say to any fans reading this any time you come across this you should challenge them dont let them set the narrative.
Imagine my surprise after watching guardians of the galaxy to realise that rocket raccoon didnt save anyone at all in GOTG? literally no one! Dont believe me? go watch the movie and if there is a single scene where he rescues anyone like when superman rescues the military or saves the school bus or rescues the oil workers from the ocean (In man of steel) i will apologise.

yet for the last 2 years i just accepted what the disney trolls threw at me regarding rocket raccoon saving more people than superman.

Honestly guys challenge the bulsshit and dont let some douchebages set the narrative

Just my two cents. let me know what you think below

Just a month ago critics were raving about how awesome and fun Deadpool was, so I don't see how they're out for blood and want the CBM genre to die out.

As for Batman not killing, he clearly was. Are you seriously going telling me that the people in the vehicles he blew up with the Batwing survived those explosions?

Our anti Marvel conspiracy theorist strikes again.

I haven't got a chance to watch it even though I have a free ticket! Too damn busy this weekend. I'm hoping I love it. I don't pay attention to critics, or trolls. I make up my own mind.

If you could ever actually write an article that wasn't bashing Marvel in some way, maybe someone would take you seriously.
